T46G - firmware downgrade

$

Hi,
I'm using a T46G phone and I tried updating it to the last firmware version (28.83.0.120) but I now have an issue that when I receive a call from someone in our phone book, only the number is displayed and not the name.

It appears that this has something to do with our phone provider company and that they only support a previous firmware (28.82.199.7).

Where can I find this previous firmware to perform a downgrade ?

Thanks for your help,

Best regards,

Joel

leading '1' is stripped off number in History

Hi,

My problem is when I attempt to dial a call from history that came from an external or internal number that starts with ‘1’, the dial (send) will fail because the ‘1’ is stripped off. The problem occurs on T27G and T46S phones.
Example,
I receive an external call from 12223334444 (or internal extension 1044).
The number shows up in History as 2223334444 (or 044).
When I select the number and press send, the call will fail because of the missing ‘1’.

I have confirmed by packet capture that the full number is sent to the phone.

Is there a parameter in the phone that strips off the leading '1'?
If yes, which parameter and how do I change it to leave the phone number as is?

If no, then how to proceed to find out where the '1' is being stripped?

Thank you,

re-looking for a way to rename states on DSS

I don't see this in the enhanced dss info - maybe I'm missing something? Sometimes when you are using a DSS key for a feature code - like a queue or day / night or call forward etc. "Talking" is not a valid indication of "INUSE" state. Is there a way to assign values for the feature codes much in the way light patterns can be created?

If not I've seen a number of people mention this before - is there a place to vote on the addition of the feature or to add our support?

Having a parking lot button read "talking" instead of nothing or "pick up" confuses the users and makes them think someone has already picked up the call.

Thanks!

No way to exit Settings app on T58A

With latest firmware update to my T58A (58.85.0.5) I find that there is no way to exit the Settings app. It seems crazy, I realize. The same applies to the File Manager app. However, the apps which interact directly with phone data such as calls, contacts, and messages retain their little left arrow icon in the top left-hand corner, enabling exit back to the main phone screen.

This problem is persistent over several firmware version downgrades and upgrades. It's like the Android section of the phone is busted.

Anyone else seen such a syndrome? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I can't seem to find call history in W52P's web managemenet panel. On our T21P E2 phones I can access it by going to Directory -> Phone Call Info, but it's missing on W52P.

In the attachment is how it looks like in T21P E2.

yealink sip-t19p does not go to the web interface

Hello!
there is a phone yealink sip-t19p. it does not go to the web interface in the browser (the wheel turns for a long time and chrome writes 500 internal server error, in other browsers the wheel turns for a long time), although it pings and gets the IP address via DHCP normally (when connecting to different routers, it gets different IP addresses, for example 192.168.0.100, 192.168.1.34). I tried different browsers, cleaned browsers, and even tried on different computers. The phone settings were also reset to default (I kept the Central button for a long time and confirmed the reset with the OK button when asked). tried to flash through TFTPD, pressed the speakerphone button and turned on the power, entered all the settings (previously repeatedly flashed phones with Rostelecom-the procedure is familiar) writes network failed and after 3 seconds loads the phone in normal mode. please tell me what you can do. Thanks!!!!!

Wireless headset tweaks with T46s

We deployed about 125 T46s (66.85.0.5) with 3CX (16.0.5.611) back in December 2019. I purchased the Poly CS540 with the Yealink EHS36 hookswitch. However, I looked on Yealink's site for "certified headsets" and found that the Jabra Evolve 65 was supported with the Jabra LINK360 MS USB adapter. The Evolve 65 functions OK but you have to hit the answer button on the phone as opposed to the button on the headset. I've ordered the BT40 but that hasn't arrived yet.

Since Yealink had certified the Evolve 65 with the Link360 I assumed it would work. Does anyone know of a tweak that I can use that might give me some additional functionality?

Template vs Configuration

Forgive the naivete, I'm new to Yealink. It's unclear to me what the difference is between a phone template and configuration file. They seem similar to me, except one is xml and the other text (or bin).
As I provision new phones, I'm not able to determine where the configuration comes from, or if even need to concern myself, since the phone template is on the 3CX server.
We have T2 and T4 series phones.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi,

This is now SOLVED but I wanted to post here, so that others may benefit. I will detail the fix in a post below, for ease. I've received help via the Yealink ticketing system. This should work for you if you do NOT use Broadworks

I had this issue:

I got this phone, and it said "XSI Information is not complete" when trying to view the call history
Then I downloaded firmware: Handset-26.73.0.30.zip and opened the ROM inside it. I uploaded it. It then said "Synchronizing. Please try again later" when trying to view the call history

I downloaded the latest firmware after this (W52H-26.81.0.50.rom) and I get the issue there too

When I followed this guide:
http://forum.yealink.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=16467

I still had the same issue

An option for "Network Directory" exists, but if I click on "Enter" it just beeps, and goes back to the main screen with the time on it too
The W52P base has also been upgraded to the firmware "Base for W52P&W56P-25.81.0.60.rom"

I have only one phone, and one base station.

Thanks

I was asked to export my bin file, for someone from Yealink to look at it. That's available at "Settings > Configuration > Export or Import Configuration" From there, you can export the .bin file

I was then told:

"Hello Sir,

I used your config and able to replicate the issue, may I know if you need to use broadwork xsi function? If you need to use xsi, then you need to fill in xsi authorization information as in this page:
[Image: 1597152227363066028.png]

Such info should be provided by the server provider. For example:
[Image: 1597152369117058576.png]

I advised that I don't need that, and can I mark it as disabled?

I was told

"Hello [REDACTED],

Yes, please import attached cfg file into your device, go by this path: Settings->Configuration->Import CFG configuration.

And if you don't even use Broadwork, please also copy below sentence into the cfg file:

bw.enable = 0"

The attachment is also available at:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LR40w5R...sp=sharing

I was incredibly wary of simply importing a config like that, as when you open it in notepad it ONLY says

Code:
#!version:1.0.0.1
#broadword.xsi.disable

bw.xsi.enable = 0

I really didn't want to over write my current configuration, so instead I downloaded my "All Settings" configuration file, and opened it in notepad. I then edited
Code:
bw.xsi.enable = 1
to instead say
Code:
bw.xsi.enable = 0
, and I imported that instead.

After editing
Code:
bw.xsi.disable.cfg = 1
to
Code:
bw.xsi.disable.cfg = 0
in the configuration that I exported, this now works after I've imported the configuration that I exported, and edited.

I've since tried to access my call history, and I can see it (After the phone registered to the base again)
I've tested making a call from the phone, and I've tested making a call to the phone too. Everything is cool now

Custom ringtones on W60B/W56H

Simple question. How do I get custom ringtones onto Yealink's DECT handsets, such as the W56H?

Surely there must be a way. Currently, I only see 8 default ringtones built into the phone. Handset firmware 61.83.0.50. If there is no "official" way, has anyone figured out an unofficial way? Cool

RPSing

Some of my phones in the field no longer connect to RPS after a factory reset. It happens almost all of the time with the T21p (not e2) model. After boot up, the label on the screen is "RPSing". After entering the last 5 digits of the phone's SN, the phone reboots but ends up in this state. The "Last Report Time" in our RPS dashboard for the phone is not updated, so it appears the phones are not able to connect to RPS.

The phones have internet and I can log in to them. The Account tab is filled with what appears to be default RPS parameters (see attached screenshot - register name and user name are the phone's MAC address which I obfuscated for the screenshot)

Any ideas what might be happening?

Hello!
There are telephones:
IP Phone SIP-T19P E2 - firmware 53.84.0.125
IP Phone SIP-T46S - firmware 66.85.0.5
DECT Base for W52P and W56P - firmware 25.81.0.60
DECT Base W60B - firmware 77.83.0.85
LDAPS contacts do not work on phones: IP Phone SIP-T19P E2, IP Phone SIP-T46S, DECT Base for W52P and W56P. Everything works with the LDAP protocol.
On DECT Base W60B via LDAP (S) contacts work.
