New Undocumented Configuration Settings T48S

There is no documentation for these options. How can I make the paging volume as loud as possible on the T48S phones? By default it is a child's whisper but I want to go so loud that it almost blows out the speakers on these phones. How do I do this?
Right now we have this set for paging: voice.handfree.spk_vol = 15 but multicast.listen_address.1.volume= looks like it would be even better
Specifically these two options I want to know how they are different from voice.handfree.spk_vol. voice.handfree.spk_vol already affects paging volume so what do these do:
multicast.receive.enhance_volume=
multicast.listen_address.1.volume=

Auto provisioning file names

We are using a HTTP server for autoprovisioning.
Currently, we have a MAC.cfg file for each handset, common.cfg file and a y000000000000.boot file which contains:

overwrite_mode = 0

include:config "$MAC.cfg"

I believe you can create different yXXX.boot files for different handset types but I cant find the appropriate file names.

Multicast time-to-live from 1 to 33 or a higher number than 1 at least

We can't route the multicast packets because the time to live is 1. I really hope that this can be changed in the next firmware because a TTL of 1 is silly. We can't route these to our other locations and therefore we can't page other locations outside of the one subnet because the TTL is 1.

Call forward

Hi

We use the T46S and T48S connected to FreePBX and we have a problem with forwarded calls.

If the handset users sets their handset to forward calls, the handset sends the original caller ID instead of its own on the forwarded call. We need it to always send its own Caller ID.

For example:

Incoming call from 123456 gets sent to Extension 2000 which is a T46S.
Extension 2000 forwards call to external telephone number 987654321.
External third party (987654321) sees caller id 123456 because the handset has sent that CID.

Why does the handset attempt to send a CID rather than just letting the PBX do it?

push device config to phone fails (Executed failed,Can't connect to server)

in-band provisioning enabled in skype4b 2015 on-prem.
just trying to use YDMP to centrally manage device config in a one to many publish scenario.
pushing test messages works fine, remote reboots are fine.
phones themselves work fine.

any chance to get a better idea of why config won't push to phones?

T42S can't see EXP40

Hello guys,

I have connected an EXP40 to a T42S, but I can't see the the Ext Key setting at the DSS Key section.


The funny thing is that at the phone status, the EXP40 seems connected.


What might could happen?

Also, is there a way to upgrade the EXP40?

Default admin/admin don't work after Update to 66.84.0.10

Hello,

I’ve updated my Yealink T41S from 66.83.0.35 to 66.84.0.10. I updated the phone over the phone website with the default login admin/admin. After the update the login admin/admin doesn’t work anymore on the phone website. Is there another default login? I don’t find any note in the release notes or in Yealink_SIP-T41S_Quick_Start_Guide_V84_10.pdf (from your download portal). The default login/password is still admin/admin in this pdf. But this combination don’t work anymore.

How can I login to the phone now?

T23G Recovery Mode Upload Fail

Hello friends..
i have problems..

i have ;
  • T2X.rom
  • T2X.rfs
  • T2X.bin
i going recevory mode from T23G, i starting recovery update but tftp server error "TFTP: File too large"..
I have tried different programs;
  • OpenTFTPServer
  • tftpd32/64
  • PumpKIN
  • 3cDaemon
I always get the following warning:
File too Large
and t23 warning:
Update failed(-5)

please help me..

button programming

Am I missing something or does Device Manager not provide an interface for configuring the dsskeys? I know I can create text cfg files but what I'm really looking for is something like the phone management GUI you see from Shoretel, or in the End Point Management modules for Asterisk.

For that matter, does anyone know of an EPM (paid is OK) that will work for Yealink phones on FreePBX 13 and 14. The only on I've found so far is https://www.freepbx.org/endpoint-manager/ and they won't say if their "Global Config" is supported on FreePBX (an old version 12 video says it isn't), or what they support for Yealink. They tell me to buy it and then find out for myself if these work.

EXP40 not accepting programming

I've got RPS working just fine on the parent T46, but the EXP40 module won't take any programming. I'm using these lines in the parent phone's cfg:

expansion_module.1.key.1.type = 16
expansion_module.1.key.1.line = 1
expansion_module.1.key.1.value = 300
expansion_module.1.key.1.pickup_value = *8
expansion_module.1.key.1.extension = 300
expansion_module.1.key.1.label = x300

I can't find the documentation for it so I'm assuming it's the same as the EXP20's, which I have documentation for.

T46s Downgrade

Hello at all,

we ´ve installed the firmware version 66.9.0.25 on one of our T46s.
Now we ´ve the problem that the firmwareversion isn´t compatible with our starface telephone system.

So we need the firmware version 66.81.150.4, is it possible to get them somewhere or download them?

XML LockIn Not working for headset

I'm running 66.83.0.57 on my T46S and I'm developing an XML App. The LockIn option works correctly for the Handset/Speakerphone, if I pick up either one nothing happens, which is exactly as expected. However if I pickup the Headset then I'm brought to a dialing screen, which is not as expected.

Solved - T46G - Firmware issues - 28.83.0.50

Firmware Version 28.83.0.50
Hardware Version 28.2.0.128.0.0.0

Upgraded phone - works OK but a few issues remain.

Login page shows T42G not T46G - odd but not major.

setting wall paper doesn't work in Chrome / firefox.
upload custom wallpaper - then have to use phone to set that wall paper.

Error in GUI Shows "please upload at least one picture if you choose this type"

go through phone and set locally no issue wallpaper is set correctly.


DSS Keys
Unable to set anything for them - manually or otherwise.
DSS Keys for main display will not set.
EXP40 keys work as expected.

Initial setup did copy phone config from another older firmware T46G for all settings however did not copy primary 1-10 DSS keys / or at least did not set them.

so far those are my main issues.
Wallpaper setting manually works but think there is something with the firmware causing an issue.

Can you downgrade to an older firmware safely? - 1-3 versions back?

currently downgrading to T46-28.82.0.30.rom & T46-28.82.0.20.rom
two different units trying both firmware versions.
Just an update
downgrade to .82 did resolve
attempting to re-upgrade and see if that resolves the issue.
possibly used a T42G on initial upgrade causing the issue.
Login and other pages appear to be corrected with downgrade and upgrade.

somewhere I must have upgraded with the wrong firmware when initially updating.

Now all is working corectly didn't re-test wallpaper but expect that might be working correctly now as well, but didn't test.

BLF Light stuck on busy for select users

Hi Folks,

I deployed about 17 voip phones for a company. All provisioned and set up the same. There is about 4/5 users whos blf light is always busy even if they aren't on a call. They can still receive transfers/calls, but the users are never truly sure if they are on the phone or not.

I tried to factory reset them, but they all just immediately went back to "busy".

Auto Provisioning Hangs

Here is my issue:
A T46G running 28.73.0.28 boots and looks at the Yealink RPS where it picks up the url: https://<provurl>/Yealink/enc.cfg

The enc file is there to tell the phone to use encryption and then provide a new url: https://<provurl>/Yealink

This is where the <mac>.cfg, <mac>_Security.enc and Aeskey.txt files are kept.

This works very well if the firmware is, for example: 28.83.0.35

But with the earlier firmware, the enc.cfg file is accessed but the phone never loads.


I have tried including the following inside the enc.cfg file: but the phone still will not load the file so cannot pickup the firmware upgrade.
firmware.url = https://<provurl>/Yealink/Firmware/28.83.0.10.rom

even if I include: auto_provision.reboot_force.enable =1

Have you any clues as to what is going wrong here?

Bluetooth 4.2?

I'd like to inquire to anyone at Yealink who might be able to tell me whether or not Bluetooth 4.2 (or better) is on the roadmap for release? If so, is there a timeline available?

I have a large customer who wants to use existing Bose headsets that are only compatible with 4.2 or above.

Cant connect to YDMP

Hi guys

We seem to have problem with Yealink T46S phones to connect to Device Management Platform.

Went through troubleshooting steps (http://forum.yealink.com/forum/showthrea...tid=41883)

But no luck, still says phone is offline. (btw phones were added manually using mac address // server and phones are all in same VLAN)

have new firmware on the phone, so firmware isn't issue(checked guide)

Opened ports.
checked services were running the only problem that I am seeing is that when i dowload /IPAddress/dm.cfg file, i get following message:
