Unable to Login after provisioning

Hello All,

I am installing a W52P base station with the additional handset, using broadcloud.

After a factory reset I and log into the DECT to add the provisioning URL, and set a new more secure password. However, once the DECT has confirmed complete, I can no longer log into the web portal.

I am also struggling to get both handsets to ring when the line is called.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Yealink T27G Not Working With 802.1x Auth After 3cx v14 to v15.5 Upgrade

I originally posted this on the 3cx forum but they pointed me to the Yealink forum. I don't believe this is specifically a 3cx issue but for whatever reason we noticed the issue about 3 weeks after updating 3cx from v14 to v15.5.

I have Yealink T22P, T28P, and T27G phones. The T27G is being setup on a switch that does not have 802.1x setup. After we set it up and take it to it's desk, where 802.1x is setup, the phone won't connect to the network. If I provision an old T28P to the same extension and install it the phone boots and works without issue. If I log into the switch and disable 802.1x the T27G connects and works fine. I've tried the original templates that we've always used and I tried updating the default T27G template that came with 3cx and get the same result.

We are using NPS on server 2016 for the server that auth's phones and pc's. On the NPS server we're seeing the following message. The issue is that all the phones use this account, the configs are the same in each phone template so I'm not sure why only the T27G's does this:

Authentication Details:
Connection Request Policy Name: Use Windows authentication for all users
Network Policy Name: Connections to other access servers
Authentication Provider: Windows
Authentication Server: $domaincontroller
Authentication Type: EAP
EAP Type: -
Account Session Identifier: 3035303045324646
Logging Results: Accounting information was written to the local log file.
Reason Code: 65
Reason: The Network Access Permission setting in the dial-in properties of the user account in Active Directory is set to Deny access to the user. To change the Network Access Permission setting to either Allow access or Control access through NPS Network Policy, obtain the properties of the user account in Active Directory Users and Computers, click the Dial-in tab, and change Network Access Permission.

The switch we're using is a Cisco SF300. The message we see when debugging the port is:

%SEC-W-SUPPLICANTUNAUTHORIZED: username Yealink with MAC <mac address> was rejected on port fa33 due to wrong user name or password in Radius server

I've tried T27G firmware 69.84.0.10, 69.83.0.20, and the original firmware 69.81.0.106.rom. They all have the issue.

In the Template for the 802.1x configs I see the following configs.
network.802_1x.mode = 3
network.802_1x.identity = Yealink
network.802_1x.md5_password = $mypassword
network.802_1x.root_cert_url = %%PROVLINK%%/TrustCertificatesNorton.cer

When I look at the yealink information I see that the commands should be
static.network.802_1x.mode = 3
static.network.802_1x.identity = Yealink
static.network.802_1x.md5_password = $mypassword
static.network.802_1x.root_cert_url = %%PROVLINK%%/TrustCertificatesNorton.cer

Neither of these configs work and I can't seem to find any other configs that would be the problem. Has anyone run into this problem with Yealink's on 802.1x setups?

Can't use extended DSS key labels on a T46G

Hi,

This is for a T46G

I have tried to modify the config of my DSS keys using the following:

features.config_dsskey_length = 1

The labels do not resize and are still too short for the text. Is there any other option I need to set in order to be able to use the modified attribute?

Thank you

Skype for Business On-Prem 2015 Enterprise, with latest CU updates to support TLS 1.2
Phones: CP960, T46S
CP960:
Firmware Version 73.8.0.27
Hardware Version 73.0.0.9.0.0.0

On Skype servers disable all encryption Protocols except TLS1.2 .
Phone does not register!

On Skype servers enable TLS1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS1.2. use the same Cipher-suites as before.
Phone does register! and works fine.

I have done the same test with an AudioCodes 440HD, and S4B soft client, and it works fine with only TLS1.2 enabled on the server.

In packet capture I observe that for http over TLS traffic the phone uses TLS1.2, but when it uses TLS.sip traffic it falls back to TLS1.0
Below Screencaps were made when TLS1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 are enabled on S4B.
With only TLS1.2 enabled, the phone won't register.

Skype For Business Federation

Hi all,

Does anyone know if a Skype For Business phone can be set to use a federated domain for an outbound uri?

Example:
A user is logged in with user@domain.com and places a call to 01234567890. This is sent using the uri: 01234567890@domain.com but we would like this sent as 01234567890@alternativedomain.co.uk

Thanks in advance

T58A outgoing call problem

Hello
I've got a problem with configuring my new T58A. I'm trying to setup it using typical providers manual (editing only server host, username, password).
It worked fine with mobile sip softphone apps, with new DECT base Yealink W60B and Yealink CP960.

I got stuck with outgoing calls to any mobile phone or other not-corporate phones. Every time I get "Internal server error" message on T58A display. Any other device easily connects to client.

I can call to my coworkers via internal phone numbers but not to clients external phones. I tried to load defaults and re-enter credentials (twice), tried to use active user's credentials and checked those "problem" credentials in other sip-phones. Also tried to upgrade T58A firmware to the latest 58.83.0.5. Tried to compare settings of T58A and CP960. All those methods doesnt work. And of course I asked my sip-provider's support for help.

Current FW for T58A is 58.83.0.5 HW 55.2.3.0.0.0.0
Current FW for W60B is 77.81.14.1
Current FW for CP960 is 73.80.0.45

The last chance is to test device with other sip-provider. And if it will not work - visit store for guarantee.

Can anybody help me? Maybe I forgot something to check.

Can't use extended DSS key labels on a T48S

Hi
I have bought a brand new T48S (touch screen) (I use it with a 3cx PBX).
Updated to the latest supported FW from 3cx (66.83.0.20).
If I change the the Label Length to “extended” under Dsskey (in the web client) this does not work and make the device unusable for us.
Further, it seems that also some other settings over the web client don't have effects…

How can I set the Label Length to “extended”?
I don't have found such an option directly on the device.
Also the display is very bad (blurry) if I look at the device from an normal angle...

I also have a T46S (without touch screen):

Here, the Lable Length setting over the web client works and also the display is way better with the normal view angle!

t46s calls on hold operation

I've been trying to find some information about whether or not the operation of the phone can be changed when a call is on hold on the phones.

For example, when you use the HOLD button on the phone, you cannot simply press a BLF key to call another phone. That call is transferred to that BLF. I do not want to have to press the NEW CALL softkey or the next open line appearance on the phone in order to call another phone when I have a call on hold on the phone. If I place a call on hold on my phone, and I either press a BLF or simply dial another phone number, the phone should utilize another line appearance and place that call. If a call is on hold, I should not be able to transfer it without picking it back up again. We have tested this on multiple platforms and it acts the same way on all platforms. I do not want to change the normal function of the BLF button when it comes to transferring a call because our customers seem to really like the one touch transfer to a BLF function.

I should also note that we have tested this on Polycom phones and it works as explained above. If I place a call on hold on a Polycom phone, I can either just start typing in a new phone number to call or press a BLF key and the call will go out normally WITHOUT pressing NEW CALL or another line appearance.

I'm just trying to see if it's possible to change and if so, what needs to be changed to enable this.

Thanks

T56A SFB Force Logout from Lock Screen

When the phone is registered to Skype for Business Online.
By default the user will enter a 6 digit pin etc.
After the timeout the lock screen is displayed.

Is there a way for another user to forcefully log the user out from the lock screen? (So they can use it. Assumption is they do not know the other users lock code etc)
Pressing and holding down the redial button does not give the "Reset to factory setting option" etc

Thanks for any advice

W56H Wishlist

We actually use Gigaset VoIP DECT phones - the config is really great including windows client to access the mobile over USB and upload own .wav ringtones.
The ringtones than can be configured to the sip accounts (if an incoming call to account 1 is coming, play ringtone A, if to account 2 play ringtone B).
This all work as ist should... the only (but important) thing is, that support for OPUS is missing...
Therefore we have bought a W60B with two W56H.
I no had to note, that it seems not to be possible to upload own ringtones Angry although the "wired" models, link the T46S (that we also use) support it fully.
We use the T47S in parallel to the DECT and want to use the same (custom) ringtone for one of the lines.
Please add as sonn as possible the ability to uploade own ringtones (.wav) to the W60B /W56H.

Question:
- Is there really now way (some "hack") to load an own ringtone?

Thanks for a feedback
Fredy

T40G defaults to ntp time?

Hello all,

I've been configuring a PoC with Yealink T40g's.
One of the things I've been noticing is that the latest 3cx approved firmware: 76 83 0 55 has the DHCP time option set to no and tries to get its time from cn.pool.ntp.org
That's fine and dandy on an open network but this implementation has all the IP phones on their own subnet and only able to talk to the VoIP server and themselves.
These are the first 5 phones I'm using for a PoC, but the final setup will have between 50 and 100 phones.
My point is: ¿Why is the DHCP option OFF by default? That makes it so much harder to auto-provision. If the time cannot be set because the phone ignores DHCP options for time server then the auto-config fails due to the https cert not being yet valid!

This only has 3 solutions in my opinion:
1. Set each and every phone to DHCP time = yes (adding a lot of overhead to an otherwise automatic procedure)
2. Allow the phones to get to the internet (this is frowned upon in this company)
3. Change the default on the firmware, but there might be a reason why the engineers decided to set it to no?

I've currently done a very ugly workaround in that the phones are allowed to only connect to cn pool net org

What would be the recommended solution?

BTW Akismet is blocking my post, had to edit several times, why?

Unstable bandwith with T42S/T46S

$

Hello,

We will deploy some T46S, T42S in our network but we encounter some bandwitch drop when our computer is plugged via the phone.

Our network is in 100Mbps, so the "internet" interface is in 100Mbps but between "PC" interface and the computer, there is a gigabit link. When I test the connection, our bandwith drop to 30-20Mbps~

If I force the network card negotiation of my computer to 100Mbps, the bandwitch doesn't drop (95Mbps~), and if i force the "PC" interface of the phone to 100Mbps, the bandwitch drop more than usual (5Mbps!)

Obviously, the 46S/42S has some problem to manage the bottleneck between the gigabit "PC" and 100Mbps "Internet" interface! And the phone's bandwitch is more instable when we force "PC" interface to 100Mbps.

We didn't notice encounter any problem with the T41S model ("PC" interface is maximum 100Mbps in this model)

For some reason, is difficult for us to reconfigure all network card's computer to 100Mbps... So there is a solution to fixe this problem?

Firmware: 66.83.0.20
Note: sorry for my bad english, i'm not native english speaker.

Best regards,
Gary.

Is there any possibility of supporting SSH? We have several RFPs that request this feature, and as I now we dont have this facility on any device, we are failing to participate on several occasions. It is true? ´
Any recommendations or alternatives?
