Change admin password by using Device Management Platform 1.0.0.25

Hi,

I figured out how to push CFG blocks to groups of T48S Skype for Business phones, but there is no option to reset the admin password. I only have 3 options:
- Rename "Admin" account
- Rename "User" account
- Change "User" password

I now that by using .cfg files and provisioning these to the phones by ftp, i was able to change the admin password, but in the Device Management Platform, this function is not available. Is there another way to provision the phones with a new Admin password by using this tool?

PS: Maybe it is better to make a new tab in the Support pages for this Device Management Platform, cause it does a lot more than autoprovisioning and i think there will be a lot of questions about it in the future.

Kind regards,
Bertin

The pattern of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) has realized another part of network, protection, security, and data administration due to the number and kinds of cell phones running on various working frameworks, being presented at the workspace occasionally.
The hazard that BYOD has realized has prompted the ascent of the MDM, Mobile Device Management . MDM which is otherwise called ace information administration mdm is being utilized to oversee, screen, and secure the cell phones, workstations, tablets and different gadgets utilized as a part of the workspace. As BYOD increments throughout the years, information breaks and security issues keep on costing organizations a considerable measure of cash. That is the reason the MDM programming is turning into an essential part in the cutting edge workspace.

EDK Macro Help

Hi,

I can't seem to figure this one out and would appreciate some help. New to Yealink phones as well. Here is the only thing I can't figure out how to do.

On an active call, I would like a softkey (labled VMXFER) to appear. When pressed, it would initiate a transfer and already know (macro perhaps?) to insert a 7, then do an EDK prompt to ask the user "Enter Ext". The user would enter an extension number, then press SEND which would then send 7+ext input to the PBX.

This button is to transfer a call directly to voicemail on a Netsapiens switch (Transfer 7+ext). I'm testing with a T52s on firmware 70.82.0.36.

Thanks!

Button with led configuration

Hello guys,

I have a customer who would like to use a button on his yealink to configure his dial plan on our platform. Basically an "open" and an "closed" button. When one of the buttons is pressed they want the led next to the button to be active so they know which dialplan is active.

The button itself to configure the dialplan on our platform is not problem, see underneath:
linekey.1.type = 13
linekey.1.line = 1
linekey.1.value = 915
linekey.1.label = Open
linekey.1.extension = <6>1<3>2

The problem with this is that I can't configure the led within a marco, you need a BLF or a BLF list key for that. So I have to change the entire key to a BLF with the same values and a macro to keep the led alive.

I have tried to read the Using Enhanced DSS Keys document and use the cfgGeneratorTool but i'm having trouble with this, so far i've got:

features.enchanced_dss_keys.enable = 1
edk.edklist.4.enable = 1
edk.edklist.4.mname = aan
edk.edklist.4.action = 915$Cp2$2$Cp2$2$$LEDg&Lon$

But it's not working.
Basically what i want is
1 button named "on" when pressed dials 915 and send the following code "wait 2 sec, select option 2, wait 2 seconds, select option 1" keep the led active

1 button named "off" when pressed dials 915 and send the following code "wait 2 sec, select option 2, wait 2 seconds, select option 2" keep the led active

I hope you guys can help me out.

I just purchased a W60B base and handset. I also have a W52P handset registered to the base. The W52P handset has a message on the screen - “Old firmware! Please upgrade!”. The firmware version is 26.73.0.11, so I downloaded 26.73.0.30.rom and tried to install via the W60B web admin. It did not report any errors, but the handset has not been upgraded. What am I doing wrong??

Hi support team,

I am using yealink T26P (Software version is 6.73.193.50). And I tried to use the Remote Phone book function.
After set an URI (to get a xml file as below) at the phone's web page (Directory > Remote Phonebook).
I could see that device successfully downloaded the xml file. But, The Phonebook does not display on Phone's desk when I press setting key.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<T26IPPhoneDirectory>
<Title>YealinkPhonelist</Title>
<Menu name="sale1">
<Unit Name=" User1 " Phone2=" 1357"/>
<Unit Name=" User2 " Phone2=" 2468"/>
</Menu>
</T26IPPhoneDirectory>

Please help to confirm if above xml file is supported for T26P. Or any steps that I missed to configure the feature?

Thank you!

T22p does not get IP, and does not access the web interface even by manually config

I'm having problems with a T22p, it can not get ip via DHCP, the screen keeps trying to get ip. but if I configure an ip manually via the device menu, I can ping the ip, but I can not access the WEB interface.
By performing the nmap on the device ip it reports that ports 80 and 443 are open.
Using Recover Mode, I can put any firmware, 7.70.0.150, 7.71.0.165, 7.72.0.80 or 7.73.0.50, even then, the problem persists.
Is there any other way to recover the device?

Jason

W56P openvpn sha256 and 2048bit key

We have bought W56P phone thinking than it can use openvpn feature.
SW version 25.81.0.10.
Now it is not working with our OpenVPN server with config.
vpn.cnf:

client
nobind
dev tun
dev-type tun
ns-cert-type server
remote X.X.X.X 1149 udp
resolve-retry infinite
reneg-sec 604800
sndbuf 100000
rcvbuf 100000
ca /config/openvpn/keys/ca.crt
cert /config/openvpn/keys/client.crt
key /config/openvpn/keys/client.key
comp-lzo no
verb 3

In OpenVPN KEY_SIZE=2048, default_md SHA256.
We have no problems in Fanvil telephone.

The question:
Can W56P use openvpn with SHA256 and 2048 bit keys?
If not are you planning to make this support in future as on T21 series.

There are no aтy openvpn messages in telephone syslog level 6.

Thanks.

Hello,

I'm using T21P E2 phone with latest 83 firmware and I know there is a problem with redialing back an entry from history and I could fix it by provisioning this to the phone:

features.redial_via_local_sip_server.enable = 1

But I don't want to use provisioning. How can I fix it then? Please, Yealink devs, add this feature to GUI.

How do I connect CP860 to monitor system?

Hello. I am hoping to get some advice on connecting a CP860 teleconference unit to a speaker system/microphone system. We are using an Enersound CS-300 microphone system that is routed to a monitor speaker system. It works great, but we would like to connect a CP860, so that the teleconference can be heard better by the audience. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

Limiting Skype for Business directory search

I found an old thread regarding the ability to limit the contact search to only your internal or local contacts. Unfortunately, when you search on the T48G, it returns everyone in the Skype universe. Then you don't know which is your local contact and which is just some random person on Skype with the same name.

http://forum.yealink.com/forum/showthrea...40648&pid=

This old article suggests to
go to Settings->Auto Provsion->Server URL, then enter 'M7:phone_setting.server_skype_search.enable=0', then click 'provision now' button.

This has no effect on our T48G phones even after reboot.

Please advise how to do this on the T48G.

T48 - EDK not working

Hi Guys,

I see there is a new feature called enhanced dss keys which I'm trying to get working but not having much luck. I have set features.enhanced_dss_keys.enable=1 in the y0000 cfg file and browsed to the phone and configured the following custom key;

This should dial 555 wait for connection and then enter *5000# as DTMF
555$Tinvite$$Cwc$*5000#$Tdtmf$

I've been having a play around and it looks like the handset does nothing after dialling 555. I was wondering if you have seen this issue before? or am i missing something? I have tried all firmware above 35.81. I see another user posted about this but looked like it was never resolved.

Thanks,
Elliot

DND is not working - T46G phone rings anyway

I have an Elmeg (Teledat) hybird 300 PABX. I connected my T46G with the hybird. It´works all fine except dnd.

The T46G runs on the newest 28.83.0.10 firmware. I configured dnd on the WEB UI but the phone rings anyway.

There is no "Feature key syncronisation" on the WEB GUI wich could be disabled/enabled. This was a solution here for this problem. So this solution won´t help me.

How exactly are -local.cfg files POSTed to server ?

$

Hi,

I'm discovering Autop_Protect feature, enabling uploading of -local.cfg files to a provisioning server.

I'm evaluating this feature with T42S powered by 66.82.0.30 firmware.

My settings are:
static.auto_provision.server.url = http://192.168.64.250/yealink
static.auto_provision.custom.protect = 1
static.auto_provision.custom.sync = 1
static.auto_provision.custom.upload_method = 1
static.auto_provision.custom.sync.path = http://192.168.64.250/yealink/001565bffdfe-local.cfg

When I change my Ringing tone using phone display and keys, I can see in my /var/log/apache2/access.log file lines such as:
192.168.64.42 - - [19/Mar/2018:18:06:13 +0100] "POST /yealink/ HTTP/1.1" 404 526 "-" "Yealink SIP-T42S 66.82.0.30 00:15:65:bf:fd:fe"

I would expect "POST /yealink/001565bffdfe-local.cfg HTTP/1.1" 200 as my /yealink/001565bffdfe-local.cfg exists.

Thoughts ?
Can you reproduce this ?

Cheers

T42's SIP firmware to Skype for Business firmware

$

Hi,

We are looking to rollout T42's to our office initially using SIP and then Skype for Business Office 365 later in the year.

3 questions:

1. How to we go about upgrading the firmware to support SFB?

2. I understand I need to request SFB licenses via an online portal, are these licenses permanent and are there any costs?

3. Can the handsets be reverted back to SIP later on if required?

Thank you
