Rebooting a phone without unplugging?

$

Most Yealink phones support a long-press on the X button to trigger a prompt for a reboot. Pressing OK then causes the phone to reboot.

But some phones do not have an X button (like the CP860 and the cordless phones to name a couple...).

A W56H can be reset it's W60 base
Setting -> System Settings -> Base Restart
The phone prompts for the PIN
Then the phone base restarts.

** What if the user doesn't have the PIN?
** Does this work for the W56P base?
** Does this work for the W52P base?
** And is the menu the same?

A user can factory a desk phone (or a CP860) with a long press on OK...

But with a cordless, the phone prompts for a pin (which does make SOME sense - to avoid one user rebooting or resetting the phones).

Is there an index or reference to these methods?

Thanks in advance!!

T22P -0 3CX firmware web server fails

I hope someone has an explanation for this weird behavior:

We have two separate 3CX installations using Yealink T22P phones. Until upgrading to latest 3CX version and latest Yealink T22P firmware, things were ok.

After the upgrade, we have the following behavior that occurs after a while:

- Phones stop responding to Remote Control commands (CTI mode in 3CX)
- The phones web interface also becomes unavailable

After a reboot, the phones behave normally, until after a while when they lock down again.

We have tried using the phones in various configurations - provisioned by the 3CX system or manually configured.
We made sure remote control is allowed from "any".

It seems to me that the firmware pushed by 3CX (7.73.0.60) is at fault - either causing the phone to blacklist the local subnet (or any IP) or by simply crashing the web server after a while. I would guess it is the latter based on the behavior (i.e. works and then stops working after random number of minutes).

I find this issue really disturbing - regardless of the fact that the phones are not supported anymore. Any vendor has an obligation to make sure older equipment can still be used in the long term and the fact that the latest versions (3CX + Firmware) are basically rendering the phones useless is deeply upsetting..

We did extensive testing and it looks like the firmware version pushed by 3CX is heavily customised and causes this behavior. Apparently, 3CX has reported this issue to Yealink but there was no action taken.

Whilst I understand this model is EOL, I can't understand why a vendor would ignore reports of a fault that renders the product useless. It is basic duty of care - you sell a product and provide a firmware upgrade, at least make sure IT WORKS!

T21P-E2 sends a CANCEL to put a call in hold

After answering a call with T21P_E2 (52.83.0.10), when the line button is pressed to put the call in hold, it sends a CANCEL instead of a INVITE with a=sendonly (like the T21P).

I have the sip but I tried to posted and automatically the system said it was spam.

Thank you, Diego Betancor

I'm trying to document the way to reboot the various Yealink phones - I don't find any documentation on rebooting this set - there is no X key.

For the more general / complete post please see here:

There is no specific forum section for the Yealink W52H / W56H phones so I am posting here.

Call Park customization

I am a consultant working with a frustrated Vonage business customer.

We are using T21P E2 phones.

With help from Vonage, we created two customized buttons. We call them PARK and GRAB.

They automate the process of parking a call and retrieving it.

PARK is associated with the second line button and automates pressing the transfer button and dialing *103. This is the Vonage sequence for parking a call.

GRAB is associated with the third programmable softkey below the display. It automates dialing *104, the Vonage call pickup code.

Unfortunately, when Vonage pushes a firmware update to the phone, it partially wipes out the entries for PARK on line two. The PARK label still shows up on the phone, but the *103 entry goes away in the setup fields on the phone.

Paradoxically, the firmware update doesn't wipe out the GRAB function on the softkey.

We'd like to put the PARK customization on a softkey also, so that it hopefully won't be wiped out in the future when the firmware is updated.

Is that possible? This thread points to a solution, but will it survive firmware updates? http://forum.yealink.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=13859

Many thanks!

Hello,
I use T46S with the latest firmware (66.82.0.30).
I have a USB hub that allows me to connect the BT40 and BF40.
however, I encounter errors when I receive an incoming call, the phone freezes for about 10 seconds, then it works again, or it finally crashes and reboots ...

this happens from the moment the wifi dongle is connected to the phone, turned off or on, it does not change anything.

an idea ?

We just bought the CP960 with the two wireless mics. Phone is great and love the look of it.

We have a boardroom that has ceiling mics installed and works off of usb, is it possible to plug into the usb port on the phone so that it will use the ceiling mics instead of the internal mics?

Installing Skype on Yealink T58v

Hi guys,

I'm pretty much at a complete loss here. We have a customer which has ordered 3x T58V and 2x T56 phones among others and they are wanting to install Skype on the T58v phones.

So far, we have spent a few hours trying to load the APKs onto the phones but it keeps failing. We also have tried calling Yealink support (we have a hot-line extension) but after multiple hours on hold gave up there as well.

Can anybody at Yealink help us with this???

lang.gui = English in local cfg file

I just upgraded to V73 for a lot of T46G. I really love the new "local conf" feature.

I have auto_provision.custom.protect=1, but I don't yet use the sync.
(auto_provision.custom.sync=0 )

I have the issue that the phone always adds "lang.gui = English" to the local conf file when autoprovisioning.

Even resetting the phone, or editing and reimporting the local config, doesn't help, as after reprovisioning, the local conf file always reads:

Quote:
#!version:1.0.0.1
lang.gui = English

We are using the German language and the autoprovision file is setting

lang.wui = %%langwebUI%%
lang.gui = %%langlcdUI%%

which both are "German".

The local conf file is not saved on the server.

Is this a known issue? Or am I doing something wrong?
If the issue is known what is a temporary solution? I tested adding "lang.gui = German" to the local conf file (via the webinterface or the GUI) and this does work, the language stays German even after reprovisioning. But I will have to do this for each of the 250 phones, and we got some englisch or chinese speaking people here, too, so I don't want to overwrite their settings. And I will have to repeat the procedure for every new or completely resetted phone too. So I am looking of a more long-term solution.

Incoming audio loss

Hello,

Recently we have started getting reports of occasionally audio drops on incoming callers. I have been able to reproduce this in the lab and occasionally the audio from the outside caller will drop a word every sentence, it is very random. When inspecting the audio it is intact when leaving our system and seems to be dropping audio at the yealink level.

Any suggestions as to where to look next?

Various W56H Cannot Dial out "forbidden"

We have many W56B/H in use. We are continually receiving complaints that the every month or two, a handset can receive calls but cannot MAKE calls. Display shows "FORBIDDEN via IP line" unless the Handset is rebooted. In locations with more than one W56H in use, one handset will still be able to make calls but the other will not. Incoming calls are fine, we have valid registration to the base. What will stop the handset from being able to make calls when the base is properly configured?

W56P/W56H

I ordered 4 W56H additional handsets. When they arrived, the box read W56H, and W56H is stamped on the back cover of the phone. When I went to register them with a W60B base, I noticed that in the phone menu the model read W56P, and the handsets won't connect to the W60B base. Is there a way to upgrade the W56P handsets to a W56H handset so that they work with the W60B base?

Multi Cast Paging 4+ handsets

I have a W60 base with 7 56H handsets. I cannot get all 7 handsets to receive the page at the same time. When a multicast page is received, only 4 handsets receive the page. If I page a second time, the other 3 receive the page but not the first 4.

I have the active handsets set to 8 on all accounts and the registered handset set to 8 as well.

Is this a limitation?
