Hi, I am trying to use 802.1x md5 authentication in a T38g phone. I have configured user name and password. When there is no PC conected to the phone, the authentication do not work. It does not event happen. When I Connecticut a PC on the phone (configured with 802.1x authentication too), the authentication works. Both PC and phone are authentication but few minutes later the phone is deauthenticated. What AM I missing ?

Customizing phone user interface
Hello,
Is there a way to customize phone user interface?
There are features accessible through user interface that I don't want my user to play with or even see.
For example DSS Keys settings. I don't want my users to see or play with it. Also local call forwarding. All forwarding in my system is done server-side and I'd like to hide that as well.
Also I don't use Broadsoft. Is there way to hide Broadsoft directory option?
Another ugly thing is whenever I pick up, let's say line 1, the top line of the phone display shows line 1 auth name. Why on earth it shows auth name (which in my case is cryptic set of digits and letters) and not the line label is completely beyond me. Hopefully it's a bug. I wonder if that can be changed too.
The phone model is T38G with the latest firmware.
Please let me know if something can be done about these user interface problems.

set ringer minimum volume
i have a strange situation and need to disable (or set a minimum volume) the ability to turn the ringer off. one of the receptionists turns off the ringer periodically and forgets to turn it back on which of course results in complaints that the phone is not getting answered.
i can't find any way to set the minimum ringer volume - is there a way to do this?

Phone not working with 802.1x md5 validation.

I just installed a few T19P, one T41P and one T26P IPPhones and the customer immediately started to complain about a background noise that is mostly present at pauses talking and calls to PSTN, however, is also present in between extensions calls in lower intensity, i just compare the codecs on each ip phone and they are in the following order:
PCMU
PCMA
G729
G722
Also in the Yeastar Standard series is as following:
u-law
a-law
GSM
H261
H263
S263P
H264
G722
G726
G729A
SPEEX
I just chaged the Max delay from 240 to 300 in the Yealink jitter buffer parameters and now are as follows:

T48G - Don't shows Groups in the phonebook

my t48G did not sow any Groups in the phonebook. I can added some Groups in the webinterface, but on the Telefon, i can see only the Group "Blacklist".

EXP40 on T48G with Lync Firmware
On the T48G with firmware version 35.7.0.50, is there a way to program the EXP40 through the web interface (or any other method) and have the lights indicate Lync status? We are able to program the keys individually on the device using various options but have been unable to get them to display status. Is there a Lync firmware for the expansion module? Currently it is running version 7.16.0.0.

[T21P] Problem with Blind Transfer

I have some CallCenter environments with Asterisk servers and Yealink T21P phones. The phones serve me well, but I found a problem that is hurting my reports.
When my agents perform blind transfers, Asterisk does not understand how a transfer, it does not create the event 'TRANSFER' and not recreate a new UniqueID to the second call.
At first I thought it might be a problem in Asterisk, but realized tests with other branded handsets and functioned normally.
Assisted transfers did not have this problem.
Firmware Version - 34.72.0.75.
Please can you help me?

T46G Dial Plan & Shortcuts

We have around 200 T46G's in the field and are trying to do something novel with them regarding our MESHED satellite public safety network. This requires us to use IP calling to dial the phones specific IP address which removed the need for our PBX (resulting in p2p communication).
The deliema is we want the phone user to be able to dial the extension number and have it translated to the IP. With over 200 phones doing this manually in each phone is unreasonable.
We looked at auto-provisioning dial plans for this which worked but the limit of 100 replace rules is insufficient. Is there anyway to create 100's if not 1000's of shortcut's / dial plans in an XML or auto-provisioned way?
Again the goal is to convert extension #'s into IP's at the phone level in the hundreds.

T46G Line Key Color Change
Is it possible to change the line key LED colors? They are green flashing for hold, green flashing for new inbound call and green solid when on a call.
This is confusing for busy operator positions.
What I would like is say red flashing for hold and green flashing for new inbound call and green solid for active call.
Is this or something like it possible?

SIP-T21P and SIP-T22P Registration problem in Tunnels
Hello . Dear Support ,
I have 40 SIP-T21P and 23 SIP-T22P and 3 W52P in our offices but in 2 different locations that connected these office with PPTP tunnel with mikrotik routers.
also i have backup for my tunnels that if one tunnel will be disconnect backup tunnel will be up and when backup tunnel will be up all my yealink phones will be unregistered except W52P and also i have some grandstream phones . and when reboot the SIP-T21P and SIP-T22P they will not be register or if i reboot routers they will not register and only working solution is , i must change network of phones , that mean if they are in DHCP i must give them Static IP Address and if they are in Static IP Address mode i must change to DHCP and they will be work and phones will be registered again.
this is very strange problem please help me.
Note: i do not have a problem with Grandstream IP phone.
Note: i use zoiper softphone and also there is not any problem with it on changing the Tunnels.

I will like to create
“call to listen music“ kind of service using Yealink IP phone. I will want unlimited callers to call the phone at the same time enabling all numbers dialing the phone to ring up to 24 hours enabling them to listen to music jamz set as ringback tone for free without the callers being charged by their network operator. Please make your comment on the following questions below.
Can Yealink phones accept unlimited calls dialed at the same time?
Does Yealink phones enable custom ringback tone?
Can one stream live audio to Yealink phones so as to use it as ringback tone?
Can Yealink phone set to ring 24 hours and end the call once the 24 hours of ringing elapse?

Duplicate Missed Call Enties on T38G
I am having an issue with one of my customer sites where on the Yealink T38G phones whenever they miss a call (intercom or external) there are two entries for each call. All the miss calls have a red x in front of them and if you tried to return the call you are given a Forbidden error message and the call don’t go through. Any ideas on what may be causing this and what I can do to fix? The phones are running firmware version 38.70.0.125 or 38.70.0.115. Thanks
