W52P Enable VPN

$

Here is a lame question, in the sense I should of been able to find the information on my own, but here we are. I have a few T41P's using OpenVPN and wanted to add one of our stores W52Ps to it as well. Unfortunately I cannot locate where you enable the VPN on the phone itself as you did with other phones like the T41P through Menu > Settings > Advanced Settings. I feel dumb asking but just spent an hour looking through what documentation I could find and probably just missed it. Thank you again for any assistance. And while I am at it will the W52P work with an SHA256? I saw a forum post that said it was not yet capable, but that was in mid 2014. Thanks again!

T32G

Hi,

I'm trying to configure a call park/retrieve button. This is my settings:
BLF Call Park

linekey.2.value = 710
linekey.2.label = Park
linekey.2.pickup_value = *55710

I am able to park a call to 710 but I am not able to pickup the call using the same BLF button.

Will this work or my understanding of the single button call park/retrieve is wrong?

Thanks,

Wenski

Number format in directory vs call display

$

Hi,

I recently purchased a T48G for use with my home VOIP service. I've successfully set the phone up using the SIP credentials from my provider, but I've encountered an odd/annoying quirk. The call display number appears (in 10 digit form) on the phone's screen without any kind of formatting (e.g. 1231234567). This also creates a problem when I set up numbers in the phones directly using my preferred format of +1-123-123-4567 (I've become accustomed to it after using it exclusively on my cell). While that format works in the directory and dials out without issues, since the number is formatted differently and includes the country code, the phone won't pick up the contact name from the directory and display it with the caller ID info.

My question is whether or not there's something in the phone's settings to change the way it formats the phone number received from the caller ID data. At the very least, I'd like it to include the dashes, and preferably a country code as well (if not the "+" symbol).

Hi!

I have a Yealink T-19 (firmware version is 31.72.0.75).

I try to configure 802.1x EAP-TLS via web interface.

802.1x mode - EAP-TLS
Identity - Phone
CA certificate - CA root certificate (that was generic on my SSL)
Device Certificate - user certificate

But when I connected it to the switch Wireshark show that there is no EAPOL-Start messages.

What is a problem?

T28P won't download all config files

Hi,

I'm currently testing the T28P with FW version 2.71.192.1.

I'm having problems downloading the config files, as the phone only obtains the y000000000000.cfg file from the TFTP server. I'm receiving a 200OK from the server relating the GET message of the y000000000000.cfg download process and then it's over without the MAC related config file and the other xml files.

Is there anything I have to change in the y000000000000.cfg file to obtain the GET messages from the phone relating the other config files?

Thanks in advance!

Disable call forwarding feature.

Is it possible to disable the automatic call forwarding feature completely? Specifically the Always Forward, Busy Forward, and No Answer Forward features. Our users are abusing these features or forgetting to turn them on and off. I would like to handle call forwarding from the PBX (FreePBX if it matters). Is it possible to do this? We have a few different models here with various firmware.

Delays in conversation with W52P

I have been checking the fórum but could not find any answer that helped me. I have recently purchased the Yealink w52p with one handset and everytime I make a call, there is a delay of about a second between when I say something and the other person hearing it and vicecersa. It does not happen when I use the BRIA4 softphone.

FYG, I am using MyPBX platform and the firmware of the base is 25.73.0.40 and handset 26.73.0.11

Load Remote Phone Book Error!

I am experiencing the error "Load Remote Phone Book Error" when I attempt to view my remote phone book hosted on my 3cx pbx. This is affecting my t32g and t38g phones, however, I can view the remote phone book on my T21's. 3CX support has told us to run 38.70.0.221 and 32.70.0.221 for our firmware on the phones yet we still get the error. I have also tried the newest firmware on both the t32g and t38g phones, and still get the error. According to packet captures ran by 3CX the phone is sending the request and the server is replying with the correct information. Any idea why I am only having this issue with the t32g and t38g models?

T46G with Fonality firmware

I was looking at using Fonality as my voip provider and got a few phones set up with them and then changed my mind who I was going to use so now I'm trying to use my phone with someone else. I have done factory resets through the phone and web interface and have even updated to the newest version of the firmware for my T46G but it still seems to have some Fonality branding and maybe settings that I would like to get rid of.

I know the Fonality techs had me run 2 files through the firmware upgrade and it looks like one of them wrote over some default stuff and I would like to restore it to how it was when I bought it new.

Is there any way for me to do this and get rid of anything Fonality on my device?

Voicemail LED

The LED light will stay on for 4 hours and then turn itself off. So if someone is out for the day or half a day - or even gets a voicemail right after they leave for the day they have no notification on the LED that there is a voicemail. I set the MWI Subscription Period(Seconds) to 84600, but that doesn't seem to have fixed the issue. Is there another location that needs to be modified to fix this LED timeout? I would like it to be forever. Is that possible?

This is for T42/T46/T48 phones.

T48 DSS Key - Can you share a config?

I've got alot of phones and we end up changing the DSS keys company wide often.

Is there a way where I can have things like the users extension be the same but all other DSS Keys come from a shared file?

All I really want is a key for their extension, then everything else to pull from a common config.

Before the upgrade when a call was parked it would display Park 1, Park 2 etc.

After the upgrade nothing displays.

Is this a PBX issue that they need to make a change or something else.

Programming is as follows:

Initializing Data "Beepoop Beep Beep"

I have about 10 Yealink w52p Handsets in 2 Base-Stations each station has its own Repeater. the phones are really not that far away from the Repeaters or the Bases.

Every once in a while the phones make the Beep sound like when you first connect them to a Base-Station and they start saying "Initializing Data" It is driving my client crazy. Is this happening because they are disconnecting or because they are just re-provisioning over and over?

Any advice on what seems to be going on?

SIP-T32G - Dial a number sent from a PC fails

Hi,

When I log into my SIP-T32G (Firmware Version 38.70.0.185) and attempt to make a call from the "Call Panel" - "Dial a Number" it immediately fails.

I have entered the computer IP address into the Phone - Features - Remote Control Security - Trusted Action URI Server List

but that does not fix the issue (I attached an image of the settings that I am entering).

If anyone could help me troubleshoot this I would greatly appreciate it.

Sincerely,

David

T28 -Dropping registration

Hi, I have a T28P registered against Broadsoft (R17).

The problem behaviour is that the phone appears to intermittently resets several times daily. It does not do a complete power cycle but loses registration for some few seconds and then refreshes itself and rebuilds the BLF from Broadsoft.

There are a number of T22Ps on the same site but none of them show the same problem. I also have a T29G in my lab that shows the same behaviour.

My suspicion is that the BLF is causing the problem but I have reached the limit of my experience in troubleshooting this.

I am hoping that someone has experience something similar previously and may be able to help me resolve this.

Cheers

How to manage Long BLF lists

$

Hi all - most of my experience to date has been with small sites so this one has me scratching my head somewhat - I am interested to hear how others handle this requirement.

Client has around 60 users and wants their centralised receptionist to be able to monitor all users via BLF. The problem is that Broadsoft imposes a 50 entry limit so that the UDP payload is within size limits. In practice I can only build the BLF to have around 45 entries.

I understand the technical limits of the BLF packet size etc so my question is more to do with how businesses with more than 50 users operate and monitor the line status of the users. I imagine the receptionist handling incoming calls needs to be able to determine if a user is busy or not. If not via BLF - how?

Appreciate any thoughts/ideas.

Cheers
Mal
