Lock out certain features

We are deploying T46 and T42 Yealink phones in our company. Is there a way to lock out users from certain features of the phone? For example, on the T46 we are installing a customized image when auto provisioned at deployment. I would like to be able to remove the capability for the user to go in and change that image from their phone. I hope that makes sense.

Hi team,

I am facing once way audio issue in Enterprise series IP Phones ( T21_E2).

When X (enterprise Series phone) Calls Y (T21P Series phone) --

Y Can not hear X's voice but Y Can hear X's voice.

FW in E2 series phone - 52.80.0.70
FW in T21P series phone - 34.72.0.76

Factory reset without Admin password

Hi all - I have 2 x T22P handsets that have previously been configured with another service provider and I do not have the admin password that is configured so I have no access to the device from either the web gui or handset.

I need to factory reset so that I can register to a different service provider.

I followed the instructions in the document "Recovery Mode on Yealink IP phones" and updated the firmware but it did not remove the existing configuration.

Is there any way I can return these handsets to factory default?

Appreciate any suggestions.

Pickup BLF T38G

Hello,

I configure some memory key as a BLF key.
All works fine exept the pickup.

I configure a group pickup in the a programable key and it works fine.

Info of the phone:
  • Firmware Version 38.70.0.221
  • Hardware Version 21.4.5.160.64.0.0

Config of memory key:
BLF
value: 103 (its the extension)
Account: Account1 (its here is my extensions configured)

Account --> Advanced

Direct Call Pickup Code : *8
Group Call Pickup Code: *8


In the traces I can see that when I press the BLF pickup the phone, the phone adds at front of ext *8
But if I press only the group pickup, no.

This are the traces in both cases:

How to Provision firmware using http

Hi,

Im trying to provision a yealink t48g using http. inserted http://myservername/35.80.0.70 into the server url field under settings>auto provision but it doesn't take. the server it self has the file name of 35.80.0.70.bin

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Phone Redials with IP address

Hi,

Everytime I hit redial, it redials with the @ipaddress at the end and the call fails. I looked at every menu option and can not figure out how to get rid of this. If anyone has any inside on this that would be greatly appreciated!

Cannot add a pic

Hello all,

How do I change or add a pic for a contact? I just cannot figure that out. If I try to add a pic to a contact already in the list, I get a message saying contact already added. The pics are listed in the phone, but I cannot add it to a contact. A bug floating around?

It looks to me that I have to delete the contact, add it again, then I think I can add a pic. Have not tried that. Too many contacts in the list.

By the way, this is the T46G latest firmware: 28.80.0.70

Hello,

we got T48G on reception desk. We need to lock those Phones when noone is present. How to do this with T48G? According to the Manual "Phone Lock" is not applicable to T48G Phones?!?
Any Ideas for this?

T48G BLF + 3CX DND

Hey there,
we use T48G Phones with our 3CX V14SP2 PBX.
I wanted to ask if it is possible to show BLF red if DND is activated on Phone.

I already asked 3CX Support - they told me this is not possible - but I'm pretty sure it was working in V12.5 - and stopped working with V14 ...

T46G crash during IP renewal

120x T46G (FW 28.73.0.48 / 3CX 12 sp6.1)

Every so often a user reports the phone is "rebooting at random". It seems to reboot (crash?) when the device receives a new IP from a DHCP server. I am using 2x 2008 R2 WinDNS servers with ip helper.

Anyone else run into this or have any suggestions?

Changing "on call" forward function.

Hello,

I have a problem with call forwarding on my Yealink phones.

I can either use the phone box server-side call forwarding function by either calling ** (for attended transfer) or ## (for unattended transfer).
This works great.

Or I can use the Yealink Buttons (either the in-call soft-button or the hardware "transfer" button). But unfortunately when doing so the person the call is forwarded to sees the number of the forwarder not the caller.

Example:
external number: 081501
Internal number 1: 116
Internal number 2: 120

081501 calls 116. 116 forwards to 120. When using the server-side transfer 120 sees 081501 as caller id. When using Yealink transfer 120 sees 116 as caller ID.

SO I either need to change the behavior of the Yealink Transfer, or change the "Transfer" hardware and in-call button to just call "'**".

Any suggestions?

I just purchased an EXP40 and am now having issues where the phone is locking up?

Hi,

We want to change the default volume level of the ring tone and the handset speaker because it to high by default.

I did modifiy the following settings (-40 and +40) but I could not notice any changes.

voice.handfree_send
voice.handset_send
voice.headset_send
voice.side_tone

Can you help for that please.

Tests have been done with T46G 28.80.0.60

Display incoming number for pickup

Hi all,

We have setup a pickup group allowing to pickup calls from other phones correctly on T46G phones.

Unfortunaltely, when a call comes in, we can do DPickup but we do not have the caller number displayed on the screen. The call is directly picked up.

Is there a way to allow pick up but display the caller infos before doing the pickup ?

ring4.wav - how to specify this in template?

We have 3CXv14. Before the upgrade, we used Ring4.wav for Automatic Pickup, where the system automatically unparks a parked call. We have this option set to send the call to the extension that originally parked the call. This ringtone was set to Ring4.wav.

Since the upgrade to v14, I can't seem to get this to work. The provisioning file still has the parameters for this, but our T46G phones don't respect that.

Any ideas?

VP530 and register

Hi,

We have a customer that has the VP530 working right but suddenly it says that the account is in a "unknown" state. Seeking for it in Asterisk we see that the account is correctly registered.

If we disable and enable the account it works perfectly again...

¿Is there any way to solve this?

remote phonebook bug

I am using the following:
features.remote_phonebook.enable="1"
features.remote_phonebook.enter_update_enable="1"
features.remote_phonebook.flash_time="1"

After making a change the phonebook still does not pull an update when I enter it or use the manual update option. IS this a bug?
