Detection of device model

Hi all,

With the upgraded firmware (v80) I notice that now the $PN variable's value on a T41P phone defaults to "yealink_txp_dm" instead of the old "t41p" which the previous version of the firmware sent. The provisioning guide still mentions that to provision different models, you can place the configuration files under a directory that match the model name via the $PN variable. That's no longer true if these phones all send the same code.

Is there a reason this was changed, and is there a way to get the model name so that either the DHCP server can respond with a correct model-specific provisioning URL, or the phone will automatically retrieve it?

Distinctive Ring on separate lines

Good morning.

I have a client that has requested distinctive rings for different lines. In this example I have two different accounts set up on the phone, one for the primary extension 103 and one for the secondary extension of 209.

If I call 209 directly from another phone, I get the distinctive ring. However, if I call the external DID that rings to this phone, I get the standard external ringer. I may have missed something but I don't see a way to set a different external ring based on the account. Am I correct in assuming that this is a phone wide setting? Is there a way I can do this aside from pointing the DID to a queue or something similar and using that distinctive ring option?

BLF clears on resubscribe - Vodia PBX

Hi
We are on Yealink T46G with the 28.80.0.70 firmware. The BLF Subscribe/Notify messages get sent properly and the lights follow. But every resubcribe, the Yealink "forgets" the status of the BLF and goes back to idle even if there is a call active on the monitored extension.

I'm not sure if the PBX is supposed to send the current status on every resubscription timer or if the Yealink should not forget the current status on a resubscribe.

A Yealink with asterisk works fine.
A Polycom with Vodia works fine.

But a Yealink with Vodia does not work, it clears the BLF calls on every resubscribe timer.

Mass deletion

I have photos for all the local directory employees but that changes monthly. Once downloaded, the photos seem to be permanent unless I manually delete.
Is there a way to autoprovision the .tar files so they can be updated and overwritten? My original .tar doesn't seem to get overwritten so I'm stuck with outdated pictures.

I found it. It's called Hot Dial

It could be setup by going to Menu>Features>Hot Line

I would like to upload several custom ring tones via auto provisioning. Then the user has more options to pick from.

I know how to alter the cfg file and point a ringtone.url to a .wav file, but that is only to one file. I want to upload more of them.

How do I do that?

2nd transfer (fails) using W52P under FreePBX

Hi:

When the W52P receives its 1st call, all is well (we can hold, park, transfer).

If the W52P is already on a call (and) has taken in a 2nd incoming call ..

We can no longer transfer (either the 1st call) or (the 2nd call).

When we try to transfer a call (if) already on a call, this is what happens:

Neither call will transfer, but rather 'joins' the two callers together with the W52P in a 3-way conference call.

example:
W52P is on a call with user A
W52P receives a second call from user B
W52P tries to transfer user B to user C, but rather ....

W52P, user A, and user B are all now on a 'conference call' together.

T46G Action URI is failing to toggle DND

Hi,

I am trying to get DND on and off using external application to phone.

I always get this

T22P Arabic Characters Display

Hi All,

Is there any way to display Arabic characters on the T22P IP Phone. We have integration our CRM with our IP PBX and need to display the caller Name in the T22P IP Phone. We have tested it but we see wrong Arabic characters on the T22.

Please advice us how to fix this issue.

Cannot upgrade T41 firmware from 36.73.0.50.rom to 36.80.0.70.rom via autop

I am trying to upgrade some T41s from 36.73.0.50.rom to 36.80.0.70.rom
We use the same server for provisioning other models of phones (T26) and have not had trouble with it except on the T41.


I have a syslog.tar with level 6 debugging from the phone available if I can send it in somewhere. Here is a scrubbed version showing where it fails to download the firmware file:

Please remove the booting chime

Please remove the chime noise the phone makes when it is powering on.
In a conference room filled with people if the phone is not plugged in it is very annoying having that loud chime go off....

Also when doing a demo with a room full of people and you are firing up the demo equipment having the chime is not good.

T21P won't place calls from History

I've seen similar complaints on different models. New T21P E2 with supposedly the latest firmware, connected to new Vonage service in my home office. The manual says I should be able to call any number in History by pressing "send" but the phone adds an IP address to the number, and the call always fails, with an "Unknown uri scheme" message.

The number I am trying to return is to my home phone which is a copper land line. I also tried returning a client's call earlier today, which I know was also from a land line, but I had to give up and enter the number manually.

This is obviously a bug - every phone in the world with Caller ID can place calls to the numbers in call history, and of course the manual says this should be the case. Vonage "customer care" says this is a limitation of the phone.

Along with the inability to fast forward or rewind through voice mails, so far I am very unimpressed with my new VOIP experience, which I thought was going to be far superior to CenturyLink.

Recovery Files

Dear users/moderators,

I have some problems with my W52P. I can't upgrade to another firmware.
Now I would like to use the recovery mode, but I need the reovery files
W5X.bin
W5X.rfs

I tried to dowload them from http://ftp.yealink.com with user yealinkftp and password yealinkftp, but it doesn't work. Could anyone help me to the correct login credentials of recovery files?

VP530 No sound for caller incoming call

If i am called on my VP530 and i pickup, the person calling doesn't hear me.
I have no problem on the T22P nor on the T20P in my office.
So it is not the line, it clearly is the phone.

I tried different audio codecs, changed the preffered call type and about any other setting in the VP530, but no luck.
Do you have any sollution?
