Cannot stop T58 Red LED Flashing
Hi,
I have 16 x T58's deployed in a home.
We have been trying to stop the red status light from flashing, aside from inbound calls.
However, after a period of time, all the handsets will start to flash red slowly.
I have removed any missed calls indicators from the PBX (Vodia)
It seems to be with the T58 handsets. All are on FW 58.85.0.5
I have the following in the cfg:
phone_setting.common_power_led_enable = 0
phone_setting.talk_and_dial_power_led_enable = 0
phone_setting.mail_power_led_flash_enable = 0
phone_setting.ring_power_led_flash_enable = 1
phone_setting.mute_power_led_flash_enable= 0
phone_setting.hold_and_held_power_led_flash_enable = 0
phone_setting.missed_call_power_led_flash.enable = 0
Is there any way to see what is causing this red light ?
Help
Thanks

T46s won't try to register to server on local subnet
I have a Yealink T46s running v85.05 firmware with static IP 172.16.0.11 and DNS 8.8.8.8. The phone server 172.16.0.5 is in the same subnet 172.16.0.0/23 (literally on the same switch). I won't detail what type of phone server because its not even receiving packets from the Yealink phone, so the issue is on phone side.
Using the webpage of the phone / Settings / Configuration / Pcap, start
and configure phone like:
(Register Name, Username and Password are set as appropriate)
account.1.sip_server.1.address=172.16.0.5
account.1.sip_server.1.port=5060
account.1.sip_server.1.transport_type=1 (tcp)
account.1.sip_server.2.address=sip2.example.com
account.1.sip_server.2.port=5060
account.1.sip_server.2.transport_type=1 (tcp)
The registration to sip2.example.com works, but 172.16.0.5 fails.
I stop the pcap and see that the phone does have register traffic to sip2.example.com, but no packets, NONE AT ALL, are sent to 172.16.0.5.
When I export the log with Settings / Configuration / Export Local Log
(which by the way exports a zip file that's really a tar, confusing window's built in unzip program)
Anyways, the log shows the following messages over and over again:
<131>Sep 8 11:50:22 WEB [911:921]: WEB <3+error > 622.372.946:Send msg : [DONOW:NULL] [app_vpPhone], 0x60d02, 0, 0, , 5000

--- 172.16.0.5 ping statistics ---
4 packets transmitted, 4 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 0.323/0.369/0.484 ms
I also double-checked that certificate checking was disabled at
Security / Trusted Certificates /
- Only Accept Trusted Certificates: Disabled
- Common Name Validation: Disabled
- CA Certificates: All Certificates
I even tried only having account.1.sip_server.1.address as sip1b.example.com (pointing to 172.16.0.5) and the phone still refused to sending a single packet.
If I switch the transport_mode to 0 (udp) it DOES send packets, but I don't want my phone server to allow UDP packets. Eventually I want to set up TLS/SRTP, so don't want to depent on UDP.
I really need to register to both servers. The first one is intentionally kept within the subnet to be resilient against DNS failure. The second server is in the cloud to allow remote users to reach a server if the primary goes down.
Any suggestions? or anyone know if this is a firmware bug?

Increase BLF Label Field T42G
Is it possible to expand the field size for the BLF labels on the T42G.
I have found references on how to change it based on the T46+ but not the t42G.
As is the labels are more or less unusable.
Thanks

Backlight lights up based on SIP session expire
I have this problem with both a T48G and a T48S each running respective most recent firmware. I've re-tried on every earlier firmware version still downloadable, with no resolution. I've factory reset and reconfigured, etc. with no resolution.
The issue is that the dimmed (or power-saved off) backlight will return to ON status whenever the SIP server registration expires (account.X.sip_server.1.expires) . For example, if that is set to 300s, then the backlight returns to ON every five minutes. This is quite annoying over time.
MAJOR additional information: with just one SIP account registered, this problem does NOT occur. However, my normal setup has two distinct SIP accounts. The enabling of the second account also activates this problem.
In researching the issue, I noticed that a similar problem was reported in the "T2xP Series" forum as thread "T22P display backlight lights up every 2 mins". That was around 2014 and that issue was eventually fixed with a firmware update. For the T22P issue, the number of SIP accounts registered wasn't specified. Perhaps the T22P user had only one account registered. I only mention this T22P problem because of the similar symptoms to what I'm seeing today with my T48G and T48S.
Any others seeing this issue? Any different configuration I need to set to allow two SIP accounts to run the backlight properly? Firmware Fix possible? (T48G is end-of-life, so access to an OLD firmware without this problem would also be acceptable.)
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yealink C920 password issue
Hi,
I have been given a CP920 conference phone by a friend who no longer needs it. I am trying to do a factory reset so that I can use it. The issue is when I go into the Advanced menu it asks for a password and the default "admin" does not work. When I asked my friend, he said they never set a password.
Is there a way to do a factory reset without knowing the password? Or is the phone bricked and useless?
Many thanks for any help that you can give.

One CFG file for one phone
i'm stuck with this kind of problem: i have to generate two files (mac.boot & mac.cfg) for every my phone.
Description:
There are a number on Yealink phones (and GS too) which configured by autoprovisioning process from tftp server. i have such structure in the tftp server:
/ (root)
- y000000000000.boot (for brand new phones, it loads the network.cfg for VLAN settings)
|
--- yealink (dir for Yealink configs)
|
+-- network.cfg (sets network.vlan.*, local_time.*, auto_provision.*)
+-- sip_acc1.cfg (turn on account1 and sets sip_server.1.address)
+-- features.cfg (sets intercom, language, user_password for wui)
+-- ldap.cfg (sets ldap config)
+-- T23G.cfg
+-- T27G.cfg
+-- T40P.cfg
+-- <MAC>.boot (includes all (network,sip,features,ldap) CFGs, one of T*.cfg files, and <MAC>.cfg
+-- <MAC>.cfg (sets dhcp_host_name, and auth info for the account.1)
This structure gives me a flexibility in the configuration of yealink phone pool, but I have to generate both <MAC>.boot and <MAC>.cfg files for every phone.
I tried to move parameters form the <MAC>.cfg file to a bottom of the <MAC>.boot, it's doesn't work. I tried to use the y000000000000.boot but i've got the same result. I think common parameters do not work in *.boot files.
In other side, I tried to make <MAC>.cfg file with a sequence of a loading needed *.cfg files, but AFAIK include:config doesn't work in *.cfg.
Is there a way to separate common configuration parameters and a particular authentication information in defferent files?
Sorry for my English. I hope I described the problem clearly.
