Proviisiong Directory - Enabling Remote Phone Book

I have provisiong working for the most part but I need some help on an example of how you "Enable Remote Phone Book" under the Directory tab.

Could someone give me an example on how to do that in the mac.cfg file?

Web Gui Locked Up

We have over 300 T21, T23G & T29G mixed all over our network. The problem we are facing that is at times the web gui just locks up. We have to bound the port (all poe) to get the phone to reboot before we can access via the web gui. We have factory reset on many of these phone and let auto provisioning configure the phones upon reboot but a few weeks/months later, we are agaom unable to access the phone via the web gui. Very frustrating, any advice Yealink?

and after the call is answered the username is still displayed.

Disable SMS/IM Beeping On Handset

Hi,

I'd like to know how I can turn off the beep sound on the handset when it receives an SMS or IM or turn off the SMS feature on the handset all together. My users instant message each other on a softphone app on the same SIP account as the handset and every time they receive a message the handset beeps.

I know how to go into the web console and change the programmable keys, but I don't see where to change the programmable keys that show up when you are in a phone call.

How are those programmed?

Please don't laugh, because I have no idea how I did this.
but I have lost my master .wav file for our ringtone.
it's OBVIOUSLY in the phones, because it's being used.
does anyone have any idea on how I can somehow download it out of an existing phone so that I can upload to new ones?

Strange EWS Calendar Issues

Hi,

Something strange has happened in the past week on our T46S handsets.

The date\time is set correctly on the phone. However, when checking the calendar today's appointments show under tomorrow' date.

Clicking on the detail of the meeting the time\date is exactly 24 hours different than the real time\date.

The problem is not with the account as the dates\times are correct in the Outlook calendar. I've logged in with different accounts and they're all 24 hours out only in Calendar.

I've reset back to factory settings and also TFTP'd the firmware back to base level and then upgraded the firmware back a few versions. All with no joy.

It's only affecting the T46S. We have a Yealink CP960 which shows meetings on the correct day.

Anybody seen this or know of anything to check?

T46S: Outlook contacts are called to email instead of telephone number

Hi, we use the T46S with Skype for Business.
Users add Outlook contacts with an e-mail address and phone number as favorite in Skype for Busniess and therefor on the screen of the T46S.
The email address is not a skype address, and when called using the keys on the phone next to the screen, the contacts e-mail address is used for a call, and not the phone number.

I searched through the setting, but I cannot find any setting to change the order which is called first.

How can I change this behaviour?

Yealink T46G Problems with BLFs

Greetings,

I have a customer who is using their old phones from another provider with our Asterisk based PBX where their phones Auto-Provision correctly but the lights for activity are not functioning.

Firmware Version 28.83.0.120
Hardware Version 28.2.0.128.0.0.0 - We noticed this was different then our other phones

Second, I noticed under Account > Advanced > SIP Server Type has options I have not seen before. The options are Default (what it is set to), Genesys, Genesys Advanced, Star2Star, and Genband Standalone AS. This may be un-related but I was wanting to ask if there is a reason the types are different and could this have an effect on other things such as BLF's.

[REQ] Translatable language files

I'm not 100% sure if this is the right subforum, but seeing as the language file is closely related to autoprovisioning this seemed like the best spot.

We want to translate the hardphone's menus and everything from English into Dutch, however it seems I'm not able to extract the original .txt files from the phone somehow.

Does anyone know how to get them, or can Yealink provide these directly perhaps? We need the original English language files for the T41P and T46G to begin with. Perhaps also the W52 handset.

FYI, I'm talking about the following provisioning option:
gui_lang.url = http://foo.bar/lang-Dutch.txt

I'm aware there's a Dutch distributor of Yealink who modify the actual firmware to contain Dutch menus et al. But when we want to update a phone (e.g. as a test) we'd always have to go through the distributor as Yealink themselves don't offer this Dutch version. This would mean a simple firmware upgrade might take much longer due to having to wait for firmwares to be made available to us.

T41S pickup call with Swyxit

Good morning.
In my company we have recently installed about 20 T41S phones. I need the function "pick up call" to take the call of another user when he's not as his desk. I checked the manual, but i don't understand how to configure groups, if i need an additiona software or what. The adimistrator of the service "Swyxit") already configured the groups to work with the VoIP software on our computers, but we also need this function on the VoIP phones. Do you have any solution?

Yealink T27G Line Key BLFs Flash During Ring All

Hey All,

I have a Yealink T27G equipped with an EXP20. When User A is on an active call on their extension, User B's Line/Feature Keys programmed for other users extensions goes solid red as intended. But when a Ring All comes in, that Feature Key flashes as if User A is available to pickup the call. So the other users may not realize they need to grab the incoming call instead. This occurs not only on the phones Line/Feature keys, but also the sidecars. Is there a setting missed within this phone I missed that could resolve this issue?

LDAP attributes and detail display

I have an LDAP directory that uses OpenLDAP. Here is sample user:

dn: cn=Ann Smith,ou=people,dc=wf
sn: Smith
givenName: Ann
objectClass: person
objectClass: inetOrgPerson
cn: Ann Smith
homePhone: 01463864255
mobile: 07987555695
telephoneNumber: 07968730259

When I do an LDAP search from my phone I expect to see 1 record for Ann Smith containing 3 different telephone numbers. Instead I see 3 separate records for Ann Smith. Each has one of the above phone numbers labelled as "Office"

There seems to be no way of mapping the attributes in my database to the attributes yealink expects for the Office, Mobile and Other phone types. If there is no way to do such a mapping I am able to change the attribute names used in my database but need to know to what they need to be changed.

What attributes names should I use?

The example in the manual uses only TelephoneNumber, which seems to map to Office Phone in the contact display.

Repeated AutoProvision TFTP/HTTP Issue

I'm having a strange issue with repeated autoprovisioning. My configuration consists of y000000000000.boot, an included file, and a $MAC.cfg file. The initial two files are served via TFTP, and the final one is served via HTTP.

If I factory reset the phone, it will correctly download all three files - two via TFTP, and the final file via HTTP. However, the next time it autoprovisions (I set repeatedly = yes, and interval = 1 minute), the phone only downloads the TFTP files. It never requests the HTTP file. I have verified this using the PCAP diagnostic file.
