T58A Teams Edition: LDAP and private contacts

Hi!

we're testing a T58A TE right now.

It's working fine, but right now we've found two problems concerning contacts:
- no access to (private) exchange contacts
- LDAP should be useable for nameresolution and dialing contacts, not in the Active Directory

If one or both points are only configuration and i didn't found them in the manual, please excuse my post.

Bulk Manual config Tx Series ( With Server URL, Username & Password )

Hi guys,

We sell Voip, based on provisioning links, so we manual copy paste Server URL, username & password in the webbased interface.

Now thats a lot of fun when you have to config 2 Yealink Phones.
But it ain't funny when you have 50 phones.

Any idea how i can to this easier & faster?
The URL, pass & UN is always the same so...

Is it possible to instead of plugging one computer into the PC port of a Yealink T23G, to plug in an Ethernet switch to which other phones and computers will connect?

We are working with two FreePBX systems - configuration is identical on the two, at least in terms of FreePBX/Asterisk base settings and Extensions settings - basically a poor mans redundancy

All phones are on the following firmware, 69.84.0.10, but we have also tested a few of the phones on the latest 69.84.0.15 firmware (just in case).

The phones are auto provisioned, and we have setup the phones to work in fallback mode e.g.
1) SIP Server 1 and SIP Server 2 set (ip addresses for the moment - no DNS names used) - keeping it simple
2) No Proxy setup
3) Registration type set to 1 (successive) - not concurrent

Approximately 140 of 151 Yealink T27G phones Register with the Primary Server correctly and do not register with the Secondary Server (exactly what is expected)
Remove the Primary Server, and they all switch over to and register with the Secondary Server, bring the Primary Server online and within a short time, they are all registered back on the Primary server and deregistered with the Secondary Server

However I have 11 -13 of the T27G models that when brought online, they register to both Primary and Secondary (almost as though they are set to concurrent registration).

I have checked configuration, exporting the configuration from a unit that works correctly and one that does not - performed a diff and found no differences other than the password and extension number details.

Anyone else come across this issue....any thoughts....

Dear Yealink friends,

I have big trouble with Yealink T46S and T48S and Firmware 66.84.0.10/15 or 66.83.0.50.

When I try to connect via webbrowser I get the message "User unknown / password wrong". The password is right because it is saved in my firefox or IE.

After 5 seconds I can do a normal logon when I try to login again. From time to time I am blocked for 3 minutes.

The problem exists on 20 phones.

That's strange. Has anyone an idea?

goodmorning, i need to create a system to comunicate in an office with 8 cordless without a pbx, with a siemens cordless it is possible only 7 handset.

with w60p the cordless that can be registered is 8, but someone known if it work in standalone mode without a pbx rear?

Yealink T46s Park button

I have a client that wants to know which parking lot their call was parked on. When I setup a BLF key to Park the call using the Park function it calls out the number, which is good, but the button stays red and occupied. This doesn't allow anyone else in the building to use the Park button.

Is there anyway around this?

Webacces over VPN

Hello.
I have setup an openvpn connection with a Yealink t46g.
Everthing is working fine, the phone registers over the VPN etc.
But I also want to do remote configuration and I cannot acces the phone's webpage over the vpn connection
The VPN IP of the phone is 172.16.2.2 when I go to the http I get this error:

Domain [ 172.16.2.2 ] is not trusted !

How can I fix this? It would be nice if I can remote service this phone.

How do you turn off custom linekey configuration

Hi forum

I am wanting to turn off the custom line key feature where you long press the line key and you can configure it from the Phone UI. Im not sure what the feature is called and I cant seem to find it in the doco.
Im hoping it can be turned off.

T46S Connect call and show incoming number

Good day!

Im new in this forum and have tried to search but did not find anything so I try to post a new topic.

I have Yealink T46s phones, and if I got an incoming call that I answear then I make a blinf connect of this call to my collegue my collegue only see my number and not the incoming call number, is it possible to change that in the phone settings?

Understand if you need more info and just let me know and I try get that info and MANY thanks in advance if you have any solutions to try.

We have noticed that the 66.84.0.10 and .15 firmware breaks the Voicemail/Message button when the handset is OFF Hook. We tested the T48S and it works fine. Only T46S is affected so far.

BIN vs CFG configuration export/import

Hello! In our T21P E2 phones, we noticed that the options for exporting and importing the configuration are divided into "BIN" and "CFG". Does they have any other difference than just one being binary and the other one plain text?

Exporting to CFG (plain text), it is possible to choose between "static settings", "non static settings" and "all settings", and the proposed filename contains the MAC address of the phone. What's meant for "static" and "non static"?

To save and restore a "base configuration" to be used to quickly configure all new phones (as to say passing the config from a phone to another one, just having to import and then update the account infos only), does it make any difference if I use "BIN" or "CFG all" to do so? Or am I supposed to export/import both of them?

Is there something actually mac-specific stored in the config that I should be aware of?

Firewall Settings for Auto Provisioning

Hello,

I have a question regarding the Yealink Redirection Server.

We are using Yealink T46G / T46P phones.

We have very strict firewall settings, and the autoprovisioning for Yealink isn't working.

If I use the mass deployment link (from VoIP provider) and autoprovision manually it works and the phones connect to tftp and pull the firmware+config files.

I couldn't find the address of the redirection server from Yealink in all the manuals.
What is the port and IP adress that the Yealink phone connects on startup? Is there a firewall configuration manual for Yealink?
