Dial tone by default

I only use a single line with my W56H phones (and W60P base). Is there a way to set up the phone so that if I just press the green phone icon, I immediately get a connection and dial-tone from the only line I've setup? Right now, if I press the green talk button, I'm taken to the redial screen.

I do see that I can set the left "soft button" to have the shortcut of going to the default line. I'd really like to swap that capability with the green talk button... Let the green talk button go to my default line, and let the soft key give me redial/history. Is there some way to do this? Thx.

User Account locked - Re-enter password for Exchange services

Hi!

we've the bought the T48S for testing purpose. The Skype4B License is installed.

It works fine so far with firmware 66.9.0.25. But there is one thing different from the T48G with Skype4B License.

If the user account gets locked the phone prompts immediately to re-enter the password. The T48G does not prompt for credentials. Are there other timeouts?

Thanks
Matthias

Hi.

When CP960 is connected to PC, working as a loudspeaker, then it cannot control PC audio volume.
Also - changing volume on PC does not affect audio volume of CP960.

Can it be fixed somehow?

bug with forward off code on T29G

Hi,

We are using a T29G version 46.82.0.20/46.82.0.30 (tried both versions so far) on an asterisk v13.

If the on/off code for the forward is configured, when activating the forward, the phone is sending the *72XXXXXXXXXX number, which is fine. When deactivating the phone is sending *73XXXXXXXXX instead of *73 which does not decativate the forward on the system.

Previous versions were deactivating the right way by sending only the *73 with no extra number.

THe exact same problem was reported with the T46 series on http://forum.yealink.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=41437 and apparently it was fixed. Can you please fix this problem on the T29 series too?

Andrei

Increase PCAP size

Packet captures on my T23G phones only cover up to 2 minutes of traffic.
It's too short for me and I am wondering if there is a way to increase packet capture duration and file size.

Also, is there a way to export packet capture to a remote server?

I know it's possible with syslog, but that is not the same as PCAP, is it?

T46G LED blinks when screen is off

$

I am experiencing what is described in this FAQ: http://support.yealink.com/faq/faqInfo?id=702

The phone goes into power saving mode and therefore the LED flashes. Why I need a flashing LED to tell me the screen is off, I have no idea. It makes me want to wake up the phone to see what call I missed. But then lo and behold, there is nothing needing my attention.

Why do I need special firmware so I can use features.power_saving.power_led_flash.on_time? Does setting it to 0 still allow the LED to work the same as when the screen is on? In other words: I still want it to flash for missed calls and voicemails when the phone is in power saving mode.

T21P E2 Downgrade Firmware & PJSIP

We have bought two T21P E2 phones with firmware version 52.80.14.3 and when I configure it to work with Asterisk 13, I have found a bug with PJSIP driver. In some conditions we have one-way audio issue with PJSIP, as described here:

http://forum.yealink.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=8330

Then I upgraded one phone to latest firmware 52.82.0.20, but it is not helped me. Furthermore, a new firmware is worse then previous:
Titles on soft keys with russian language are not readeble
LDAP phonebook crashes sometime
And so on

So I have two questions:
Can I downgrade my phone to firmware 52.80.14.3 ?
And is there firmware without PJSIP problem?

Directory search

Hello Yealink !

On T4xS phones, the directory search interface allows to enter a "substring" and all directory entries containing this substring are then shown.

It would be nice to have another search option : the phone would shown only the entries starting with the substring (instead of containing).

This way of searching into the directory would speed up the search (less character to type in). I understand the possible drawback of this : all entries in the directory must be organized the same way and phone users must "think" the same way when they use the directory search.
Providing both options would certainly be useful.

Visual alert for BLF Pickup doesn't work properly

$

Hi,

we are trying to get the visual alert for BLF pickup working. Unfortunately the displayed alert does neither show the name of who is calling nor the name of who is called. Let me explain it using an example:

Alice wants to call Bob. Alice has the internal number 40, Bob has the internal number 11. When Alice calls Bob, this is what we see on the display:

Code:
11 <- 11

What we would expect to see is:

Code:
Bob <- Alice

Or at least:

Code:
11 <- 40

When the call has been picked up, the name is shown correctly (Alice).

We are using a Yealink T56A with the latest firmware (58.80.0.40).

Is this a configuration issue (what have we missed then?), a bug or an issue with the PBX (Asterisk-based)?

Thank you very much for your help in advance!

Best regards
Chris

Hello. I have a T23G phone that does not register with the sip server. From the pcap log I can see that it returns "405 not allowed here". I tried to set up the account in many ways but the result is always the same. No problem with sip phones of other brands. Any suggestions ? I attach the pcap. Thank you.

Firewall settings?

$

Hi.

Imagine a vlan for IP phone only, no rules what so ever which means all traffic will be stopped at the firewall. What rules do I need to create to make the T46G fully functional? Auto provisioning, calls ect.

So far I've come up with the following from wireshark:
TCP:
port 80 to the phoneprovider WAN IP only.
Port 5059-5069 to the phoneprovider WAN IP only.
Port443 to any. I saw once(!) some traffic from the T46G to Amazon AWS.

UDP:
Port 15000-20000 to the phoneprovider WAN IP only.

UDP/TCP:
Port 53 to any, DNS
Port 123 to any, NTP

Am I missing something?

Possible to see if voicemail is on?

$

Dear everyone,

I am quite new to the YeaLink IP phones. We have just changed to VoIP couple of month ago, using 4 x T48G and 2 x W52H(P) phones.

The current Firmware for the T48G is the following:
Firmware-Version 35.80.193.163 (Telekom Germany firmware)

I was wondering if it would be possible to see the status if the voicemail is set "on" or not.
Currently, we have the problem, that we do set the voicemail on with the EXP40 Speeddial "*21" every evening and turn the voicemail off via the EXP40 speed-dial "#21" every morning.

The status, if the voicemail is on or not, is not shown anywhere.
Is there a chance to enable such a status? For example same as the BLF List (to see if the other accounts are available/currently on the phone).

Looking forward to any help/suggestions.

Thank you

Autoprovision Softkey XML Group

Hi
We have a remote phonebook setup which is great and we can provision this via autoprovisioning.

I am trying to understand how to achieve this setup with autoprovisioning, which at the moment I can only achieve through the web interface.

We would like setup the 'Directory' button on the phone idle screen. We would like that when you press the Directory button, it goes straight to Remote Phonebook number 2.

In the web interface, we can do this by setting Programmable Key 2 to be XML Group, and then setting the 'line' option to the name of our 2nd remote directory.

I can't seem to get the 'line' value to work in autoprovisioning.

I have tried the following settings:
directory_setting.url = http://{removed}/favorite_setting.xml

remote_phonebook.data.2.url = http://{removed}/contacts.xml
remote_phonebook.data.2.name = KB Directory
Programmablekey.2.type=22
Programmablekey.2.value=KB Directory
Programmablekey.2.label=KB Directory
Programmablekey.2.xml_phonebook=KB Directory
features.remote_phonebook.enable = 1
super_search.url = http://{removed}/super_search.xml

The phonebook seems to work OK if I go to Menu > Directory > Remote > 2. KB Directory, but this is long-winded for our users.

I have checked all of the documentation I can find about this, but I haven't been able to figure this one out. Can someone please help?
