Multiple Lines on a Single Phone

$

Greetings,

I am attempting to have multiple appearance directory numbers (MADN) on multiple phone sets. They are ringing as expected, but when the second call arrives to that set, the line is marked "busy", even though that line is not active.

From my testing, it appears if any line is active on the set, all lines are marked busy. If I enable Call Waiting, the other lines will ring, even if one is active.

The problem with that is I want them to be marked busy if in use, so the "Hunt" action will take place and roll the next call to the next vacant line, which could be answered from another phone.

I hope this makes some sense.... I am using T46G sets....

lol Just caught this line multiple times in the log file on my phone-

<131>Sep 26 21:28:57 FWUP[854]: FWE <3+error > 337.924.183:shit happed on check ROM info!

Must be a developer Easter egg. I'm trying to figure out exactly what the "shit" is...

T48G reboot-Loop

Hello,

I updated the firmware of my T48G to 35-82.0.20
But now, after Firmware was updated, the phone is in Boot-Loop.
It initializes first and displays the "normal" screen. But no keys are working and the phone reboots. This is an endless loop. No way to get onto the phone to downgrade to old version or reinstall the rom.

Any ideas?

T41S Auto Provision Softkeys

I am trying to modify the auto provision config file to change the default Directory softkey to be a Forward softkey. I place the following in the config template.

programablekey.1.label = History
programablekey.1.line = 0
programablekey.1.type = 28
programablekey.2.label = Forward
programablekey.2.line = 0
programablekey.2.type = 2

After auto provision is complete the default History softkey is changed to FWD and the Directory remains. I want to leave the History softkey and change the Directory softkey. T41S Firmware version 66.81.0.90. What am I missing?

T46G 28.82.0.2.0 -- BUG

I have a known bug with the latest firmware. I maintain a call center with troubleshooting and once 28.82.0.20 went live, version 28.81.0.110 users started experiencing quite a few sound quality problems. With this in mind, we have two separate internet connections in our building. Our data line and our 'phone' line. The phone line is an internet line dedicated to VOIP. Most if not all of our users connected to our 'phone' line are connected via USB dongle. When I plug it in to our phones, I can select an access point and type in the password and it connects. With 28.82.0.20, however, I get an instant 'Connect Failed'. I thought perhaps I was typing in the incorrect password (which has not changed at all) and I'm getting this per user I have switched to the newest firmware. To test, I plugged the dongle into a phone on a firmware version of 28.81.0.110, it connected with no problems after typing in the password. So far, I have eliminated incorrect password as a possibility, access point issues as a possibility, and network as a possibility since all the other users on this network are still running fine. So then, I deliberately plugged the USB dongle in before the firmware upgrade. I connected it to the access point before my upgrade. I disconnected the USB dongle and reconnected the wired connection on our data network, upgraded the firmware, then plugged the dongle back in to the phone post 28.82.0.20 firmware update and it remembered the access point from before the firmware upgrade.

Sure, I found a workaround, but I believe I have discovered a bug (not allowing USB wifi dongle) to connect to wifi once you upgrade to 28.82.0.20 but if you do it before the upgrade then it will remember the config and auto connect once you put the dongle in.

I am using the Yealink Wi-Fi USB Dongle WF40 on T46G's. Issue seems to be in 28.82.0.20.

T48G - Skype for Business - Supress Calendar Reminders

Our users have been asking if there is a way to stop the calendar reminders from showing up on their phones. Yes we know we can ignore, or dismiss or hit the X button to dismiss all, but they'd like them not to show up on their phones at all.

With the Skype for Business Firmware (35.8.1.65), I do not see this feature available in the advanced menus.

Would be great to know if the feature exists or if its a future enhancement. Please advise.
Thanks

Wrong name displayed when dialing extension

Hello,

I have a stumper and am not able to find the information anywhere, please help! For simplicity, lets use "A" as the old name, "B" as the new name and 123 as the extension tied to the name.

In short:
The company directory was updated with extension 123 changing from name "A" to name "B". When dialing extension 123 from a local phone, name "A" and "B" show up. BUT when the call starts to dial, the name shows up correct as user "B".

Findings:
The issue is with the call history. If I delete old calls made to extension 123, then the correct name will show up (B) when dialing the extension.

Question:
Is there an auto-provision that could overwrite call history of extension 123 with the correct name? OR an auto-provision that will look to the company directory first, if no information is present, then look to the call history...

Why:
It would be simple to just delete the old user out of call history but when you multiply this by every phone in the company (large company), this can be a daunting tasks, especially when new users are changed around on a monthly basis.

Additional Information:
Only name "A" shows up when dialing the extension, even after an auto-provision. Have to manually update the Directory on a phone, reboot, then the correct name shows up on the screen in addition to the old name.

ActionURL-HELP!!!

What we need is to send by the Action Url on the event INCOMING CALL the number of the number calling.
I reffer to the administrator guide you post, not the same because is not available anymore but from the yealink website aswell.

The structure of an Action Url always seems to be the same

http://192.168.0.20/help.xml?IP=$ip

and following the manual...

action_url.incoming_call (page 318 from my manual)

http://192.168.0.20/help.xml?IP=$ip

So.. using the variable that i need.

$call_id ---- The call_id of the active call
or $calledNumber ---- not sure wich one but tried both

http://192.168.0.20/help.xml?PHONE=$call_id
http://192.168.0.20/help.xml?PHONE=$calledNumber

Where 192.168.0.20 is the IP from the machine that im making the GET request,.
It doesn't work.

Where working on a Yealink T23G

A help will be apreciated!!!

Thanks!!!IdeaIdeaIdeaIdea

Multicast to PC through PC port

We use a UDP multicast video stream on our PCs. When the PC is directly connected to our network the UDP multicast stream shows fine on the PC. When we connect the PC through the PC port on the phone, the UDP multicast video stream is all jumbled up on the PC and not watchable.

We have both a T21 E2 and T46 phones and tried on both. Neither one works.

Anyone have any ideas?

Automatically conference handsets

I'm interested in the W56P (or new W60) handset system.

Not sure what the name of this feature would be called, but is it possible to make all the handsets ring, then when the first handset answers the call, the other handsets can somehow "join" or conference into that call? Automatic or manual is fine. There will be no PBX involved, the W60B base station would simply be connected to a voip.ms account.

Enhanced DSS keys (EDK)

Has anyone else been able to get EDK keys functioning properly?

Per http://support.yealink.com/faq/faqInfo?id=539, we have our provisioning server configuring a DSS key as follows:

*6800$Cwc$$Cp4$7733356##Tdtmf$

What is supposed to do, per that document, is dial *6800, wait for 4 seconds, and then input 7733356## as a DTMF send string.

What's actually happening is the phone does in fact dial *6800 as defined, but then does nothing; it does not send the defined DTMF string. It almost seems that the phone changing it's state from idle to dialing is causing the remaining commands to be ignored.

T4x Call Transfer using Line-Key or Phone-book

$

Hi

On both, T48S and T42G I manage to transfer calls, as long as I enter the target-number on the key-pad.

How ever, I want to use the phone-book or the line-keys (Speed Dial). This does not work. A call cannot be transfered.
As soon as the line-key is pressed, the first call goes on hold. The second call is established. I can now toggle between the two calls, however, I CANNOT link the two together.

What am I missing?
Can this be achieved anyway?

Thank you

Recurring Automatic Incoming Call

I am using Yeastar MYPBX U100 and YealinkT41 Phones. I have noticed very strange issue happening after I have configured it in our new office.

After a proper incoming call, the phone starts ringing with unknown number but when picked there is no one in the other end.

Once we end the call , immediately we start getting this incoming call again and it will keep happening like that for many times¬¬¬.

It seems that PBX itself is autodialing the inbound extension for some weird reason. Please help me troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

I have no caller ID enabled on the all of the 4 PSTN Lines we have.

Increase "hotline_delay" timeout to 30 seconds (for emergency calls)

Hello,
we use features.hotline_number and features.hotline_delay to place an automatic emergency call when a phone is hooked off. When a disabled person is unable to press keys but hooks off the ohine a emergency hotline is called.

But for this usage the maximum delay of 10 seconds is too short. With 10 seconds we get too many false emergency calls. We need to set this value to 30 seconds. How to do this? For us it does not make sense to limit this value to a maxium of 10 seconds.

Is there any other possibility to place an automatic call to a specified number after 30 seconds when the phone is hooked off?

I tried to to it with an XML app and Action URL but this seems to be a but that seems to be a difficult and unstable solution.
Regards, Tobias.

Transfer a call

Hello

For BLF, we can transfer a call without pressing the transfer button. For non-BLF destinations, we must press transfer. That is very confusing. Is it possible to bypass the transfer key? So press the speed dial, transfer and hang up? As with BLF?

Best regards?

Dark Theme

In the product details pages for the Skype for Business phones (http://www.yealink.com/products_21.html) the screen shows a dark theme. We have several T48-G models running the 35-8.1.80 firmware and they show the light blue theme. Is this new theme available for this model via a setting or is it only available in the T48-S models?
