T46G 28.81.0.110 not applying distinctive ringer tones correctly from provisioning

Hello,

Since upgraded to 28.81.0.110 the distinctive_ring_tones_alert_info ringer ins't being set when pushed from provisioning server.

I'm sending:

distinctive_ring_tones.alert_info.1.text = inbound-call
distinctive_ring_tones.alert_info.1.ringer = 4-Ring4.wav

In previous versions (and in 28.81.0.110 UI it shows this as correct) and it is applying the text but not the ringer. (showing as default 1-Ring1.wav in UI and being set to that when someone calls)

Attachments are from Settings > Ring before provisioning and after provisioning. You can clearly see that the text is being set but the Ringer File is not.

Is it possible to see the used codec when doing a phone call? I would be interested to see if my configuration is working as intended.
We use T48 and T58 all versions.

T41P/T48G/T58V IPv6 SIP Issues

$

I have been recently testing out IPv6 SIP connectivity from a local Asterisk server to my 3 Yealink phones and run into what I believe are two bugs in the Yealink SIP implementation.

Using IPv4, none of these problems exist and the phones all work flawlessly but as soon as I change the configuration to use IPv6 SIP these issues appear. For both IPv4 and IPv6 I am using TCP transport.

These problems all occur with all three phones. All are running the latest firmware available, 58.80.0.10 (T58) and 35.81.0.110 (T48/T41).

The first relates to the IPv6 default gateway. If I statically configure an IPv6 address and enter the global IPv6 gateway address of my router on the same /64 subnet as the gateway, I observe network connectivity to the phone works. I can ping it and access the web interface over IPv6. However the phone will refuse to even attempt to connect to the IPv6 SIP server. The syslog during boot shows that the SIP application on the phone considers the IPv6 network to be unreachable (even though it is not, and the phone is reachable from outside the subnet) and it refuses to even try and connect to the SIP server. Packet captures show no attempts. The workaround for this is to enter a link-local IPv6 address for the network gateway, in which case the phone will then attempt to connect and will be able to successfully register.

Here is the section of the boot log:

The second relates to the use of a Server Host and Outbound Proxy Server settings in the Account tab. I have a valid IPv6 DNS entry for sip.reub.net which has an AAAA record. It does note have an A record (for testing). If I enter that hostname in these fields the phone is unable to resolve the name and the phone is unable to register. If I put the raw IPv6 address in the field instead, the phone then is able to register and works fine. There is something wrong with the DNS resolution over IPv6:

Jun 6 09:24:33 ipphone-2.reub.net [1206]: DNS <3+error > [SIP] Query error: 'DNS server returned answer with no data'
Jun 6 09:24:33 ipphone-2.reub.net [1206]: SUA <3+error > [000] DNS resolver fail, unknown destination...
Jun 6 09:24:33 ipphone-2.reub.net [1206]: REG <4+warnin> [000] Register: no responser, server id:0

The DNS record is a very standard AAAA record:

thunderstorm ~ # host sip.reub.net
sip.reub.net has IPv6 address 2001:44b8:xxxx:xx10::25
thunderstorm ~ #

If I change this to an A record with an IPv4 address then the phone accepts it and is able to resolve and register with the SIP server over IPv4.

I believe these are both IPv6 specific bugs in the SIP application on the phone.

These are both very easy to reproduce.

uaCSTA feature

Hi,

3CX has added the uaCSTA feature in the newest software release v15.5

As I understand almost all Yealink phones support this uaCSTA feature, EXCEPT the DECT phones W52P and W56P, even if they are running the v81 firmware.

Please add the uaCSTA feature. It would be nice if the DECT phones support it too.

Thank you.

Auto Provision Firmware

Hi,

How do you setup the T46 Phone to auto provision to upgrade to new firmware? I'm assuming you would have to download the latest firmware and put it on the phone server. Then, set the phone to auto provision a certain day(s) of the week.
I have many T46 phones and would like to upgrade them to the latest firmware but I didn't want to have to manually upgrade each phone.
I'm new at this so any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

T48S Updating Configuration Splash Screen

The phone is already provisioned from the config server. However, it will randomly come up with a splash screen that reads, "Updating Configuration". Has anyone else noticed this? I know that with other models this happened in the background, not continuously. Is anyone aware of how to disable this?

DND Codes Can't Be Set

Hi,

On my T46G, I can't set the DND codes, no matter what I do with mode phone/customer. On my T23g it works fine.

I can't get DND working with Asterix/FreePBX without it, as the codes need to be *97 and *98. Whatever the default is doesn't work.

transferred phonecall not in history

Hello,

I've searched the forum and the internet but i can't seem to find it..
I would like to have the external phone number in my history when a call is transferred.
for example:

External number 1 --> employee 1
Employee 1 transfers the call to employee 2
External number --> employee 2.

If employee 2 looks into the callhistory they will only see the call from Employee 1 --> employee 2.

Is there any way i can change this that employee will see the external number?

I hope there is an solution for this issue.

Kind Regards,
Marc

Remote backup of local phone book

Hello,

I'm looking out for a method to backup the local phonebooks of our Yealink phones.
Has anyone already built a script or something like that to manage mass backup processes from a central server?

Any hints are appreciated Wink

Regards
Patrick
