T41/2 backlight setting ignored on v81 firmware

$

On this new v81 firmware, for both the T41 and T42, the backlight value set via provisioning is essentially ignored by the phone.

If the config is phone_setting.backlight_time = 0, the value for "Backlight Time" is set to Always Off, as well as is if phone_setting.backlight_time = 1, the value for "Backlight Time" is also set to Always Off.

This is definitely a bug and needs to be addressed.

We utilize Metaswitch to provision these phones, and the provisioning server sets the following value:

phone_setting.active_backlight_level = 8
phone_setting.inactive_backlight_level = 1
phone_setting.backlight_time = 0

Yet, the phone config (via Web GUI) shows the attached.

Please advise and address ASAP, we had to roll back to v80 firmware as a result.

Bug? Phone requests everything twice

$

While troubleshooting my auto provisioning problems, I noticed that the phones (T46G and T48G) request everything twice. The DHCP address, the tftp files, and all included files. Server logs:

Code:
Nov 22 20:13:09 r530a dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:15:65:9c:f5:6a via eth2
Nov 22 20:13:09 r530a dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.44.160 to 00:15:65:9c:f5:6a via eth2
Nov 22 20:13:09 r530a dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.44.160 (192.168.44.10) from 00:15:65:9c:f5:6a via eth2
Nov 22 20:13:09 r530a dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.44.160 to 00:15:65:9c:f5:6a via eth2

3 seconds later, an extra DHCP request:

Code:
Nov 22 20:13:12 r530a dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.44.160 from 00:15:65:9c:f5:6a via eth2
Nov 22 20:13:12 r530a dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.44.160 to 00:15:65:9c:f5:6a via eth2

Then the files:

Code:
Nov 22 20:13:38 r530a in.tftpd[27366]: RRQ from 192.168.44.160 filename 0015659cf56a.boot
Nov 22 20:13:38 r530a in.tftpd[27368]: RRQ from 192.168.44.160 filename yealink-all.cfg

192.168.44.160 - - [22/Nov/2016:20:13:38 +0100] "GET /phones/account.cgi HTTP/1.1" 200 449 "-" "Yealink SIP-T46G 28.81.0.15 00:15:65:9c:f5:6a"

And 7 seconds later, the same files again:

Code:
Nov 22 20:13:45 r530a in.tftpd[27370]: RRQ from 192.168.44.160 filename 0015659cf56a.boot
Nov 22 20:13:45 r530a in.tftpd[27372]: RRQ from 192.168.44.160 filename yealink-all.cfg
192.168.44.160 - - [22/Nov/2016:20:13:45 +0100] "GET /phones/account.cgi HTTP/1.1" 200 449 "-" "Yealink SIP-T46G 28.81.0.15 00:15:65:9c:f5:6a"

Seems strange. Bug or "feature" ?

What would be convenient is to have a library of phone and clock backgrounds that can be downloaded from the comunnity section on the yealink website. Also allow users to upload files.

Initializing Data

we are currently using the W52P with a RT10 repeater and are having issues with the phone saying "initializing data". The issue usually happens when a person walks out of range of both the base and the repeater and then walks back into range. Sometimes the initializing data just last a few seconds but sometimes it can take hours. A person can set the handset right next to the base station and it still doesn't sync up. the firmware version are as follows; base 25.73.193.40 and handset 26.73.193.3 . Is there any settings or firmware that I could try to resolve this issue?

SIP-T21P_E2 Issue

Hello support;

We have installed several SIP-T21P_E2 with the latest firmware 52.81.0.15

When we monitore the client traffic we are facing the next issue:

Randomly the phone rejects the call without even ring, if you search in the missed calls menu for example the call appears as a missed call

In the asterisk log we have the following message:
Got SIP response 486 "Busy Here" back from 192.168.100.74

It's look like the phone itself reject the call, I enclose the SIP-T21P_E2.pcap file which is a trace get directly form our server, in this file filtering with "VOIP CALLS" you can see a REJECT message

I enclose too two more files:
the 52.81.0.15_9_36_52.pcap file which is generated with the phone pcap utility
the 001565a1c9f5-sys.log.txt file which is the syslog phone file, in that you car filter using the callerid phone number "23367954"

We are 100 % sure that the agent is not rejecting the call on purpose because, as the phones gets the configuration form provisioning all the phones has all the DND options disabled

We have been working a lot with Yealink phones specially with T20 P models and as long as we know this scenario hasn't been reported

This issue causes that agents complains because lot of missed calls that's actually didn't ring at all

If there any thing else that we can send to debug this issue please inform

Thanks in advance
Best Regards

I am having an issue on T46 with a Jabra Style BT headset. It works for a day and then will not connect. Headsets have to be deleted, phones have to be rebooted, and then follow the procedure to reconnect them for it to recognize the headsets again.

I am currently running version 28.73.193.50. The phones were running version 28.80.193.130 with the same issue. It is doing it on multiple phones using the same type of headset.

Phone = T46 28.73.193.50
Headset= Jabra Style

Any input would be appreciated! Customer is getting very frustrated with this.

Thanks,

Tim

T46G transfer with Caller ID

$

We have several different systems and want to be able to transfer calls using the T46G, using multiple DSS keys to save having to type in the VOIP extension number to transfer.

We have several DSS keys set up as follows:
Type: "Speed dial"
Value: "123456" (The VOIP extension number)
Label: "Fred" (Extension Owners name)
Line: "Line 1"

Currently the T46G operator answers the call, places it on hold. Presses the DSS key, which dials the VOIP extension. Then they can talk to the recipient and transfer the call by hanging up. This works perfectly, except the CallerID is not transferred - the recipient sees the VOIP extension number of the T46G.

I have tried using "BLF", "Forward", "transfer" in place of "Speed Dial" but they don't appear to work.

Am I missing something - help appreciated.

Dear all,
I am using a AVM FritzBox and I am searching for a solution for the buildin answering machine. I can use **600 for the voice menu, but it would be great to get a signal like a blinking LED or something else.

I received a answer from werner1959 but is not availiable any more in this forum.

Is there anybody here with a hint for me?

Best Regards,
Heinz

BLF KEYS

I setup my T46G phone with this script "How to Monitor the Business Hours Mode State" which showed me how to set two DSS Keys as BLF's, so looking at the phone I could see if it's in "day" or "night" mode the lamp colors changed depending on what mode the system was in, now this has worked perfectly until I did a firmware update on the phone to 28.81.0.20 now the BLF lamps don't display any color , which means I cant tell if the system is in "day" or "night mode"

anyone able to help HuhHuh

Is there a standard bitrate on a call using Opus codec on T23G phones (V81), or do they support whatever bitrate the server imposes (anything between 8 kHz narrowband to 48 kHz fullband) ?

Any plans to implement G.722.1C

Are there any plans to implement G.722.1C codec (Siren 14) in future firmware for Yealink phones?
So far it looks like this is the highest quality codec available at 32kHz, Ultrawideband.

account settings ignored, other settings work

I'm trying to auto-provision T46G and T48G phones. They do get their macaddress.boot files from the TFTP server, and do correctly apply all settings, except the personal account settings, which seem to be completely ignored.

For example, a T48G is running firmware 35.81.0.15.

macaddress.boot :
Code:
#!version:1.0.0.1

account.1.enable = 1
account.1.label = 431-John IP.161
account.1.display_name = 431 John
account.1.user_name = 431
account.1.auth_name = 431
account.1.password = Start

overwrite_mode = 1

# SIP server, time, language, +phonebooks?
include:config "yealink-all.cfg"

Only the settings from the included "yealink-all.cfg" are applied. The account settings above are not.

The settings which do work are stuff like:

Code:
account.1.sip_server.1.address = asterisk.frenetic.lan
account.1.sip_server.2.address = 192.168.44.151
local_time.time_zone = +1
local_time.time_zone_name = None
local_time.dhcp_time = 1
local_time.ntp_server1 = time.frenetic.lan
local_time.ntp_server2 = 0.ch.pool.ntp.org
local_time.interval = 7200
# etc.

What can I do to make sure the account settings are also applied?

Thanks.

Call log --> hide forwarded calls

Hi,

is it possible to hide forwarded calls from the call log??

There is an option called "features.forward_call_popup.enable", but afaik the option only hides the popup message, if the option "features.pickup.blf_visual_enable" is enabled.

Background: the sales dept has configured complex call flows and they only want to see dedicated calls to their own number, NO log for forwarded calls from other phones.

Kind regards...

Hi

Is there a way to prevent the phone to send "busy" 486 while the user is just typing the digits on the dial pad BEFORE he press dial or pickup the handset to actually make the call?

Thanks,
