Using GUI of Yealink phone (network diagnostics)

Hi:

Checking in to see if there are any plans to put some basic network diags inside of the web interface for the SIP-T2x & SIP-T4x series phones.

An example would be:
ping
traceroute

Sometimes, one has remote access to a phone, and we need to test the network from the "point of view of the phone" ...

Having the ability to ping out from the phone could be helpful at times to make sure the phone can reach the Internet.

Using PCAP is too cumbersome at times.

Hello,

I have a T46G unit that when i use the handfree mode i cannot hear properly the other end. The volume is too low even if i max out the volume setting. I tried the following

but only the send volume has risen, nothing from my side.

I have upgraded first to the latest firmware and i have reseted the device but nothing changed.

Redial Error - Not Found

My company is using the Yealink T38G phone and when we try to redial a missed call or a number from our history we get a message "Not found" and a tone like the line is busy. I have searched the forums and found related issues but I have not seen a solution. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Multiple keys for account

I need to have 2 line keys for account 1. I can do this with the web interface but can't seem to find out how to do this in the config files.

I would assume you would do this with the programablekey.X.type configuration parameters but there is no type for 'line' like there is in the web interface.

T28P dropping config randomly

Issue: 2 of my Yealink T28 phones randomly drop their config (as in factory reset). This has been happening for over 12 months. This does not happen to any of the other 20 x T28's in use. These 2 phones are located at the reception desk and are part of a call queue.
All the phones are setup as POE. The firmware is v2.71.1.1 (latest 3CX supported). This happened on v11 of 3CX (upgrading to v12.5 made no difference). We have also tried moving the phones to different ports on the POE switch (no difference - still dropped its config).

Setup: 3CX v12.5 system with Yealink T28's working across 3 sites. There is a VPN from each site back to a Data Centre where the 3CX server is located.

Any ideas why this is happening. We had a power out today at this site and the 2 reception phones dropped their config again.

Action URI - click to call

Hi all,

Ive been trying to configure a "click to call" feature so that website phone numbers are clickable and will dial out from the desk phone. T46 and T48 phones.

I have downloaded a firefox addon called Telify which is supposed to do the job using an action URI.

According to the yealink admin guide I can use the following uri to get the phone to dial out:

http://user:pass@%phoneip%/servlet?number=%number%&outgoing_uri=%account%

Ive edited the url with my credentials and numbers etc. and tried this from the web browser but all I get is a big fat nothing, blank page.

I have enabled "any" under features>remote control and even tried it just with my pc IP but still nothing.

Also to add to this ive gone into directory>phone call info and tried to dial from there, it says Success but nothing happens!

any ideas of what I can try? grasping at straws now.

Call Log issue \ 500 - Internal Server Error

Hello,

I've discovered an issue with v73 and higher firmware where attempting to access the "Phone Call Info" page in the web interface:

The page loads to : 500 - Internal Server Error

I am trying to access this page to figure out a change that happened when upgrading to v73 firmware. On v72, when dialing a parking lot (701), the parked caller ID woudl display via UPDATE on the phone screen, and also update the call log. On v73 and higher, the call log simply shows what was dialed (701) rather than the updated caller id that is still displayed properly on the phone screen.

I'm at a loss to what setting controls this, as the change logs do not mention anything about changes to how caller id is stored in the phone's internal call logs.

Add photo to remote xml phonebook

What is the syntax to add photos to the remote xml phone book entries on a T48G phone? I' have all the photos copied to a folder on the server where the RemotePhonebook.xml file is but they don't show up. I've added the name of the file as below:

<Unit Name="Test User" Phone1="1234" Phone2="" Phone3="" default_photo="Resource:picture.jpg"/>

Is this not the correct way?

MAC 00000000000 - Action URL Calls

Hi,

I'm using the Action URL function on some Yealink T26s and having an issue where the Mac Address comes across to the Web Server as 000000000. The IP will come across as blank when this happens as well.

Here is my Action URL data:
mac=$mac&remote=$display_remote&callId=$call_id&otherRemote=$remote&local=$display_local&ip=$ip&active_url=$active_url

This happens randomly and a reboot seems to correct it...but we have well over 100 phones so rebooting 20 per day isn't a great option.

Has anyone else experienced this?

T23G losing multiple line keys

Hello,

I have recently purchased (4) T23G's, and I'm having a strange issue. I want to set up all 3 line keys to be the same line (account 1).

I configure the line keys as shown in fig1.jpg:

However, once I reboot, this setting goes back to default (line 1 / line 2 / line 3) as shown in fig2.jpg:

After reboot, the 3 lines show up for 1 second, then disappear and are replaced with just the first line enabled. Pressing the 2nd or 3rd line buttons shows 'Invalid account' on the screen (since I don't have account 2 or 3 configured).

Yes, I am clicking 'confirm,' and no, the phone is not auto-provisioning anything from my FreePBX.

The firmware is shown here in fig3.jpg:

Turn off green blf when phone is idle T38G

I have a T38g. The BLF's stay green when the extensions associated to that BLF is idle. It's a minor annoyance, but still something that would be nice to turn off if I could. Any thoughts? Thank you.

T23G Can't provision volume

Running into a strange issue with T23G phones recently. We have a customer who through some integration with other systems requires us to remotely enable/disable the ringer on the phones. In the past we had T22 sets running V72 firmware and were able to achieve this by using PushXML and the following provisioning:

voice.ring_vol=0 #Turn ringer off

However with the T23G, even on latest firmware 80.0.60, that does not seem to have any effect, volume always remains at whatever the user set it to using the volume key.

Please confirm on your end and let me know.

T46 hardware versions and multicast paging

Hello,

We are testing 2 different T46 phones. One is hardware version 28.1.0.128.0.0.0 with firmware 28.73.0.48 (most recent as of this post). The other phone is hardware version 28.2.0.128.0.0.0 with the same firmware. I have the following lines in my provisioning template for multicast paging:

multicast.receive_priority.enable = 1
multicast.receive_priority.priority = 0
multicast.listen_address.1.label = Page All
multicast.listen_address.1.ip_address = 224.0.0.30:10000

When provisioning both phones with this template, the phone with hardware version 28.1.0.128.0.0.0 applies the paging settings successfully. The other phone (hw version 28.2.0.128.0.0.0) will not apply any settings. It is very, very strange. The ONLY difference between these two phones is the hardware version.

I know I could set it manually, but I shouldn't have to. Anyone have any ideas?

can you give me explanation step by step how to make tar file and what is the composition in the tar file..
as information, i have vpn connection from public ip to connect to my intranet ip with security user name and password..
in the other word, with my vpn connection i can connect my mobile phone to my pbx server (with user name and password for security to get vpn connection)..
We set vpn with microtic routers..
please give me explanation what step by step must i do..

T46G - DND & Missed Calls

Is there any way to ignore missed calls on a T46G if the phone was on DND when the call was placed?

I know that if the PBX service provider includes a "SIP Reason" it won't display missed calls - but is there any way to do it with a Yealink option?

T23G - Outgoing calls issue

Hi everyone,

I have a T23G with firmware 44.80.0.5.
I can't make calls using the numbers found in the call history(under received calls).

Here is my architecture:
Phone <----> Registrar server <----> second server <-----> Internet

The entry in the call history has got this format:
Name=number and value=number@second_server

When making a call(after choosing a number from a list of received calls), the dialed number is number@second_server ------------ call timed out

NB: When i compose a number manually, the dialed number is number@registrar_server

With the same architecture using a T28P i have the same entry in the call history but wheni choose a number from a list of received calls, the dialed number is number@registrar_server (which works)


Is there anything i can do to prevent the T23G from using the second_server for outgoing calls?(This happens only when i pick a number from the received calls)
